Rimuru Tempest Meets An Interesting Individual

Chapter 17: The Reveal

Rimuru's Pov

After my crazy time with Ciel and a good night's sleep I am feeling very good, I wake up to see a sleepy D, she is so beautiful and peaceful when she is sleeping. As I watch her she starts to wake up and turns to me with a big smile. After we cuddle for a few minutes we go downstairs and make breakfast with each other. Like always it is delicious, after that we go to the TV to watch our spider friend.

When we turn on the TV we see her running in the halls of Sophia's house, it seems like she is fighting someone, in the side of the frame we can see a dead butler, I think his name was Merazophis. It looks like he sacrificed his life for Sophia, the ones who is fighting our spider is much more interesting. He deployed some kind of anti-magic area and is shooting some kind of light-based automatic rifle out of his arms, it looks pretty cool to be honest, like so future anime gang member. But this guy is an elf, and although I love elves, in this world they are the worst, I can also see little Sophia crying in her now dead butler's arms. That is sad but loss is a part of life so hopefully this can at least serve to help her grow up.

Back to the fight I watch the half spider half sexy women fighting the robot man, it seems our friend realized that the clothes I gave her could easily stop the light bullets the man was shooting so she was using her arm as a kind of shield to take most of the shots, because of how powerful the magic inside the clothes were even the bullets that hit her didn't go through, but only made wounds an inch or two deep. Since the clothes also had regenerative powers she was healing at a decent pace, she didn't seem to be able to really damage the robot though, every time she used her scythe like front legs to attack you could hear a sound that sounded like they were breaking and in response only a small dent would appear on the robot. The fight was a total stalemate, until the spider lunged at Mr. robot man and used some special attack that completely dismembered his gun arm. From looking at her scythe legs I could see she used some rots attribute attack, but because of her new clothes her body was healing the damage quickly. I guess the clothes I gave her to cover her body were actually really game breaking, well without them she might have died so I guess I'm not mad or anything.

With that the spider girl was definitely winning now, but it was still going to be a long and pretty boring fight. Then the Demon Lord from earlier burst through the ceiling and destroyed the robot almost instantly, wow that was like a superhero entrance pretty cool. I thought that the Demon Lord would attack but instead she just started a conversation, the basics are she decided that she can't kill the spider girl and wanted to gain her as an ally instead. She offered to take her and Sophia to the demon territory and from there they could decide where to go. With seemingly no other option the two reincarnations decided to follow, I guess you could call it a girl vacation.

After the left to start their vacation D and I decided to walk around and see what the city was like now that the war was wrapping up. The city was partially destroyed and it looked like a lot of peoples homes were damaged or destroyed, that is why I think war is total crap. If you are about your people it is a bad decision unless you can win overwhelmingly, like I did with Tempest. When you start a war, you don't know how your citizens with suffer and die as a result. Even the countries that were the aggressors lost tens of thousands of troops, I wonder how many families suffered the loss of a husband or father for this pointless war, not that it is my concern or my problem, but it just makes me realize again how people care more about their goals than each other. Well, that sad, but right now I turned my attention to the 30 or so soldiers following us. I intentionally lead D and I down a dead-end alleyway. When we get to the end we turn around, I can see the lecherous looks on the soldiers faces as they look at D and myself. Well, I know a few ways to get this over with, but I think I will go with the first one. One of the soldier speaks first though.
