Promise-Mingi

You were at the airport. Seeing off your one and only best friend, Mingi. His family's moving to America because of his parents' jobs. "I'm gonna miss you Mingi" You said as you hugged him.

"I'm gonna miss you. I miss you already" He said. You never told him that you had a crush on him. You thought it was a good thing you didn't tell him. It would've made things worse.

He sighed. "Okay, well, I'm going up soon...we will talk everyday" He said and nodded. Trying to hold back the tears. You acted strong. "Yeah..." You just replied. "I will come back. I promise...please don't forget me" He said.

You nodded. "I'll call you" He said as he picked up his bag. Finally, he was out of sight. You couldn't help but to shed a tear. You drove home, and locked your apartment. You saw a couple of pizza boxes, from last night.

Mingi came over for your last dinner together. "I miss you already, pabo" You said as you picked up the boxes. After you cleaned up, you took a hot shower. Water running down your face, mixed with tears.

You had to go to school the next day, but you didn't feel like going. So, you decided to skip school. You've been waiting for Mingi's call. Memories came rushing back.

You became friends back in kindergarten because he was bullied and you saved him. You became best of friends in middle school, and you started to have a crush on him.

In high school, you cannot be seperated. Mingi always tells you that he would never leave you and that's a promise. "My parents want me to go with them" You remember what he said the day before he left.

It was 8pm and still, there was no call. Maybe they're sorting out, you thought. You ordered pizza and fell asleep after you ate. The next day, you went to school. Everything's not the same, No Mingi, No fun.

You missed that idiot. How he makes you laugh everyday, even when you're sad. "Hey, Y/N" You heard someone call. It was one of your friends, Tsuyu. "Hey" You replied in a dull tone.

"How's Mingi?" She asked. Of all the times to ask for Mingi. "I don't know...he hasn't called yet" You said. "Oh sorry" She apologised. "Don't be...He promised He'd call" You said and she smiled.

"So, do you want to go shopping? I could really use a friend, and I think you do too" She said. "Sure, why not" You said and she clapped her hands. "Yes! Okay, let's go after school" She was obviously excited and you smiled and nodded.

After school...

You two were shopping for clothes. Tsuyu was trying out almost every dress available. "Let's go eat" She said after buying her stuff. "Sure" You agreed. You were also kind of feeling hungry as well.

You two were sitting at one of the tables at the café. Eating chips and burgers. "Can I ask you something?" She asked and you nodded. "You've been feeling down ever since Mingi left. Do you guys have something-" You quickly shook your head.

"If your talking about relationship, no. We're best friends...I thought you knew that" You said. "Well, yeah but it's just the way you act..." She said. "I did have a crush on him" You confessed. "And I still do. But he doesn't know" You said and she gasped. "Oh my gosh, why didn't you tell him?" She asked.

"Because, I didn't want to ruin our friendship" You said. "Sorry" She apologised. "Don't say sorry. It's not your fault" You both slightly laughed. Hanging out with Tsuyu made you feel better. But when you got back home, the feeling of sadness came rushing back.

You opened your phone and checked on Mingi, he was still offline. You sent him a message...

Mingi, I don't know what happened to you. I'm worried. Please call me as soon as you read this message.

You turned off your phone and fell asleep. When you woke up, it was already 3am. You were feeling dry, so you wanted to drink some water. You went to the kitchen and grabbed some water. 

You walked back to the living room, but suddenly, there was a knock on your door. "At 3am?" You asked yourself. The person kept knocking and knocking. "In a minute!" You yelled.

You checked the pick hole and you couldn't believe your eyes. You quickly opened the door and the person entered. It was Mingi. "Mingi, what are you doing her-" You were cut off by Mingi hugging you tightly.

"I promised" He said. "What about your family? Your parents..." You said. "We've come to an understanding...I will stay here" He said. "Why, I mean...You'll be without your family" You said.

"I'm here because I want to be with you...and I promised I would never leave your side" He said. "Yeah, but-" You couldn't find anything else to say. "I will work, and I will make you happy. I'm sorry that I left. I will never do that again. You are important to me" He said.

"I am that important?" You asked. "Yes. My parents will be back in christmas...I couldn't wait...It's too long" He said. "Mingi...I- thank you" You said. He hugged you. "Thank you too...and I want you to know that I love you, okay?" He said and your whole face turned red.

"Y-you...okay. Same here" You said. Since that night, Mingi stayed at your apartment. His parents are staying in America for 5 years. They only come for visit during christmas.

While Mingi's looking for job, you guys started off by Mingi selling their house. His parents agreed to it. Eventually, you both confessed.
Yep, you became official. Since then, Mingi never left your side.
