Authors note: so sorry I haven't updated in a while! I deleted some chapters because I have a different idea for the story, so if you read the whole story already maybe reread the last chapter, sorry!!

Things were going so well until...
"Oi! Cassidy!" A voice called out,
She turned around, and low and behold, it was Sirius Black.
"Yes Sirius?" The girl asked, he has a annoyed look on his face. She wondered where this was going.

"I want you to stay away from regulus." He said boldly.
"What?" She said confused, why would he say that?
"Stay away from regulus, he's not a good person Cassidy, plus, you don't look good with him anyways, honestly Cassidy, you and regulus doesnt make sense, he's not good for you." Sirius said,
Cassidy only stared at him in shock,
She couldn't believe that he was speaking of his own brother in such a way...

"I think I can determine who I should associate myself with Sirius." She said coldly,
Sirius' demeanor changed, he was obviously upset now.
"So what your shagging a snake now?" He said bitterly.
Cassidy was shocked that he would assume such a thing.
"I've never done... that" she said quietly, not wanting others to hear.
Sirius scoffed, "oh please, don't act so innocent, we all know" he said rather loudly.
"Please stop Sirius" she said, now embarrassed, people were staring..
"Oh you don't want people to know? People already know Cassidy" he said loudly, people were now whispering to their friends.
Cassidy turned around and quickly walked away,
Tears running down her face.
"Stay away from him Cassidy!" he yelled to her one last time before walking away as well.

She had tried to avoid regulus.
Now knowing what people were thinking and saying about her,
She was humiliated
But who wouldn't be?
People thought she was sleeping with him.
Which wasn't true, they were just really good friends.
Cassidy couldn't seem to escape the stares,
The whispers,
The way people avoided her now,
They all though she was some sort of traitor.
It upset her, even if she was with regulus in that way,
That couldn't have made her a traitor.
Could it?

Regulus had noticed her withdraw from him.
He didn't quite understand why,
He too would get stares,
Whispers..
But regulus was used to this sort of behavior,
Everyone already hated him,
So it wasn't out of the ordinary.
He never questioned what they would say,
He had no idea the new hot topic was about Cassidy.
He thought that maybe Cassidy was also joining the people who all collectively hated him,
For what reason he did not know,
He decided that if she was going to avoid him,
Then so be it.
He noticed that she seemed to avoid his gaze in the great hall,
He thought perhaps she just wasn't paying attention to him.
But oh how he was wrong,
She had payed attention, but she was too ashamed to be caught looking, she couldn't bring herself to speak to him, people would talk, she cared very much about what people thought of her.

If only regulus knew...
