Part 16

Eric stopped out of breath, putting his hands on his knees taking a second to feel his lungs fill with air as he stood next to Paul that looked like his wasn't affected in the slightest at the length of time they had to run.

"So what are we supposed to do? Run in there and assume he's there. What if hes not?" Eric questioned as Paul walked up to the house and taking the knob in his hand and breaking it as the front door to the house opened.

They walked in slowly, looking around seeing that house didn't seem in shambles at all.

"Hey gene? Gene?" Eric questioned out loud, as Paul looked at him with narrowed eyes, as Eric shrugged his shoulders.

"How exactly did you want me to approach this? Jump him? He could have more access to other dimensions than we knew about originally. He could just pop into one if we spook him. What if we play like whatever he plans on doing with y/n, like that's what we want? To make him think that we are on his side and everything. And we get close enough we get him and y/n"

"Yeah that might work, but we have to find them first you know?" He said as he walked further into the house rounding the corner into the kitchen, as Eric walked behind him, and not hearing anything from Paul except a surprised gasp that made Eric jump in front of Paul.

And face to face with Ace and Peter.

"You don't just barge in?" Peter questioned as he looked at Paul and Eric and noticed they were both out of breath and looked angry.

"Why would we be polite when he takes our girl? Hmm" Eric said as he turned away and started looking around the rest of the house for you or Gene.

"You realize if either of them were here we would tell you right? Totally not in agreement with his mindset at all," Ace shouted at Eric as Paul didn't move from where he stood watching them with narrowed eyes.

"Dude, he's being honest. Gene told us about his thought process with all this and he's being stupid and making assumptions about things. From what we've all heard and well seen when you brought her feeding with us that one time. I mean I don't think you guys have a mate is wrong. It's the natural course of things. He's being the stupid one trying to fight that and want you to be in the same wavelength of thought," Peter explained.

Paul stared him down.

"So what your saying is that you possibly know where he is then? And you aren't willing to tell us? Because you know I'll gut you right here where you stand. He has our omega that is pregnant with my child. So don't think I won't hesitate cause I need to get some of this rage I'm feeling out of me,"

"Hey, checked the house he's not here at all. It's like he cleared the place out as well," Eric said rounding the corner, and looking at how Paul was standing in front of them to prevent them from leaving. And placing his hand on Paul's shoulder feeling the tension that was there.

Paul shrugged his arm off his shoulder. Turning away.

"That's just knowing we had somewhat of a thought process of where he would be and now nothing at all," he said, snapping and kicking the trash can and breaking it, as Eric flinched at his friend's action, as Ace and Peter also flinched at the action.

"Well if this helps, he asked if we had come upon a reversal serum. At the time this was before he told us his thought process when it came to your omega. We gave him just a bit. Didn't know if it was for him or someone else that he accidentally changed for not. Not enough to change a person, since we didn't know what he was doing with it," Ace said going for a drawer that was locked. Grabbing for a key and unlocking it. Pulling out a huge vial of something that looked like a clear liquid and passed it to Eric.

"This is it? How the hell did you come upon that?"

"Actually started on something when we were first changed. It was when we were still adjusting to everything and not liking it. But since we know the formula it gives us the freedom to have that option if we choose to do so. What's interesting is that Gene never asked us how we acquired it, cause I don't think we would be standing here if he did," Ace explained, giving Peter an uneasy look.

Eric took the vial in his hand, and saw in his peripheral vision Paul was looking at it, with an almost, realization coming to him before blinking and it was gone. As he looked back at Ace and Peter.

"Did you see her with him? Did he stop here at all? Do you know where he could've gone to with her?" Paul asked starting to pace.

"He hasn't stopped here after going off on us about her really. There could be some places that he could've stopped at," Peter said, walking into the living room and grabbing for a map and unfolding it.

It was of the area, with certain parts that were marked off with x's of the early days of when they were changed. Which indicated which areas they hit and exhausted before coming up with dimension idea, which ironically came from Gene of course.

"Well I know he had established some other residences around those extinguished areas, taking the nicer houses. You know he never wanted to take that route of you guys going off to live in the middle of nowhere," Peter explained with pointing out certain areas that Gene chose as other residences. Which all coincided with portal locations that they had found along the way.

"So really they could be anywhere and also could be in any dimension, great" Paul said as Eric looked at him and then at Ace and Peter.

"Well you know four people are better than two, and if we can get ahold of Tommy when he gets back he'll help to," Eric said as Ace and Peter shrugged their shoulders.

"Sure, never really was team Gene anyhow after all this came about, we can come back to your place with you. Also make sure we bring enough of that reversal serum maybe to use on Gene give him a taste of his own medicine since he was always the one that loved this change the most out of us," Peter said as Ace nodded.

"We'll come back around with more and we'll bring the ingredients to make more just in case. Who knows man with how widely he's spread himself around here he could have followers that would blindly back him," Ace added as Paul and Eric nodded in agreement before they walked out of Gene's place.

"Is it too eerie to think Ace has a point, we never know if he's changed people knowingly. I know we haven't done that, but that just the idea of that complicates things,"

"Good thing they are bringing more of that reversal serum might have to use a lot of him and anyone else that comes along," Paul said, foreboding in his voice, at how spot on that seemed to sound. As they ran back to their house to wait for Ace and Peter to show up, as well as for Tommy to return from taking y/n's neighbor and son back to their dimension.
