Memories, wispy
like forgotten tunes-
sporadic and never to stay,
Smiles, and secrets stolen ;
for you to hear and me to say.
And a red shirt stitched- from Gramma perhaps,
an endearment in my madcap days;
Stories in amber, black and white,
In my twilight years, they're meant to stay.

Madeleine means memories triggering nostalgia.
I used to own a huge, red, snuggly teddy bear when I was a kid, which my mother so generously gave away *eyerolls* to my cousin, and it was gone for ever. Anyway, I dream of owning a bigger, snugglier teddy bear someday, and since he keeps coming to my mind today, poor bear Teddy Bear, I dedicate this to you and the memories we made.
