he remembers ethan trying to show him how to 'live' in sophmore year.

the late nights spent walking the back streets that only ethan would know about.

the times he stayed at ethans house, talking until sunrise.

he remembers the looks that were too affectionate to be just 'friendly', but neither of them could admit it.

the parks ethan would drag him to, 'youre never too old for a slide at 3am.'

he remembers the way ethan would grab his hand and run down the streets at midnight, when every worry slipped his mind. he couldnt be bothered to think about germs then.

he remembers the feeling of ethans fingers running through his hair.

he remembers the broken promise of summerly visits.

ethan made him feel things he never thought he would. he made him feel normal.

spencer decided it was time for a trip to new orleans.
