"Did you hear about Na-ra's sister? I heard that she's coming in a tuxedo the wedding. I wonder if she's out of the closet," my grandmother gossiped as I was doing my makeup in her room.

My grandmother was sitting at the edge of her bed, watching me do a simple makeup look.

"So? Is there anything wrong about that?" I said, clearly annoyed as I lightly brushed my eyelashes with black mascara.

"No, of course not," my grandmother said, looking down, knowing well that I wasn't going to be part of her stupid gossip.

"Well, I would wear it, too," I said as I looked at my dress and the revealing neckline.

I had never been so uncomfortable in a dress before, forced to show my cleavage because, my mother said "that good bodies like mine weren't meant to be hidden".

"Oh, don't tell me you like girls, too," my grandmother said in a sing-songy, yet mock-like tone for some reason.

I sighed in annoyance as she just assumed that tuxedos were specially for men and lesbians.

"N-No, it's just that I hate this dress. I'd rather be comfortable in something that others won't like than not being comfortable in something others would like. I'm not comfortable at all," I said nervously.

Of course I like girls; it's just that I'm too scared to even talk about it. My parents say that "being gay is just a trend" and that "they're not homophobic". However, their jokes and their way of referring towards some people shows they are a little homophobic. It's not always, though. Sometimes they don't say anything, but sometimes they exchange looks and end up gossiping once we're in the car to get home.

"Why not? You look gorgeous, Y/N. Beautiful bodies like yours can't be hidden," my grandmother said as I got out of the room.

Yoo Na-ra is my cousin's soon-to-be husband. Actually, Song Hye-jin is my mother's cousin, meaning that she's my twice-removed cousin. Even so, she's still my cousin. My grandmother tells us that Na-ra and Hye-jin met six years ago at the supermarket he worked in, and that they "fell in love". They both did everything together, but an incident happened. They both went on a trip to the Dominican Republic and Hye-jin ended up pregnant with their daughter, Yoo Naon—a cute 4-year-old with a bad temper. People say that the wedding is for pure convenience, but I don't think so. Hye-jin looks at Na-ra in a way that I can't describe—and that's more powerful than what my grandmother and my aunts say. I don't know, maybe it's the pretty last name. I heard that Na-ra's family was filled with sweet people, and they used that as an excuse on why Na-ra is such a humble guy. With only 25 years old, Na-ra has accomplished so much and his four siblings are very brilliant. To be honest, I expected that Na-ra's siblings would be in their late 20s, but I was wrong.

"I'm nervous," Hye-jin whispered as we peeked through the window of the Mercedes Benz she was in. "I think I'll start crying."

"No, don't be. You're gonna do great, and we're gonna have so much fun," her sister Eun-ha answered back.

"Yes, don't be nervous," my mother answered. "We'll see you inside."
