"It's crazy isn't it?" He sighed, a slight tone of amusement lacing his words.
She had been too focused on the stars that twinkled above her to even notice that he had arrived.
"What is?" Her soft voice broke the barrier of silence that settled in-between them, her gaze never shifting from the night sky.
"It's crazy how much things change in a small amount of time"
She nodded her head slightly and brought her knees to her chest "not all change is bad though"
He hummed in response as the gears turned in his head "well of course it isn't, but this time last year I'd actually be sat here with you"
His last few words seemed to trail off into the wind, quickly whipping through her ears before silence comforted her once again. She turned her head to where the previous voice just was, only to be met with the sight of nothing. Her breath became shaky as she quickly wiped away the tear that had fallen without permission.
"It's crazy isn't it?" She sighed to herself as her gaze once again shifted to the vast night sky.
