It had been a while since she had smiled. A real smile, not one of those smiles that are put on just for show. It was almost as if it had disappeared completely, it had left without a trace and nobody could be bothered to help her find it. Until him.

They added each other. They talked. She didn't think much of it.

They talked again. Longer this time.

They talked again. All day until they both decided to sleep.

And then every day after that without fail.

She wasn't sure when it happened or how exactly it happened.

She started to smile at his texts, a little smile that just hid in the corner of her mouth, too shy to make an appearance.

She started to smile everytime she heard his voice. The smile that was once too shy, itching to make more of an appearance.

She started to smile on FaceTime calls whenever he would do something stupid.

The smile was in full bloom followed by laughter whenever these FaceTime calls took place, he lit a spark in her that had been damp for too long.

She started to smile when he wasn't looking. Taking him in, admiring him. Her smile was now full of adoration and love for the boy who managed to give her joy again.

She started to smile and find joy in the things she once loved, things she hadn't been able to enjoy for such a long time.

All because of him.
