CHAPTER 19

Time: 2:25 PM

"As you already know, finals are approaching quickly meaning you guys have to work twice as hard and study." Your teacher says motioning to the class.

Looking around, the reaction amongst the students was mixed. Many groaned in obvious annoyance, while others rolled their eyes and kept their attention on the teacher. Pinching your nose bridge, you placed your face on the table and let out an annoyed sigh. Your frustration ended up catching the attention of the boy next to you.

Suna looks down at your defeated state and pats your back.

"It's okay, I hate both studying and exams." He says.

"Doesnt everyone?"

"Everyone but Kita."

You let out a silent laugh before raising your head from the wood desk. Looking at the clock, you see the dismissal bell is about to go off so you begin packing your stuff.

*RING*

"Have a great break everyone!" Your teacher says, exaggerating her smile.

Walking past her desk you could have sworn you heard her mumble under her breath.

"Finally, damn kids get more annoying every day."

Hearing that almost made you burst out laughing. Glancing at Suna, you saw him quickly cover his mouth, the properties of a smile present on his face. He clearly heard it too.

Sitting on the bleachers, you had mixed emotions about your school life at the moment.

You were obviously happy about fall break which would allow for you to relax and hang around your friends more. But on the other hand you were already stressing over finals even though they were a few weeks away.

To say you were good academically was an overstatement; You were more decent when it came to school work but got everything done, eventually.

Studying isn't something you favored or anything relating to the school curriculum in general which frustrated you.

Burying your face in your arms, you continued thinking of ways to motivate yourself to study. Being so lost in thought, you weren't aware of the two figures approaching you.

"Why do you look so upset?" A voice said, breaking you from your train of thoughts.

Looking up you see Suna staring at you with a concerned look.

"I'm just frustrated."

"Why?"

"Well exams are coming up and I'm not the best at studying so I don't know how I'll manage."

"I can help you." Kita says while dabbing the beads of sweat from his face. "I can help you with whatever subject you need, I think I'm pretty familiar with what you all are learning."

"Kita you're in class 7, of course you know the subjects." Suna says, lightly chuckling.

"If you don't mind, I could really use the help." You say.

"Sure, it's not a bother. If any of you guys need help we could all form a study group."

"Thank you so much Kita", you say while getting up and giving him a side hug. "I would fully hug you right now but uhm you're kind of sweaty."
