CHAPTER 28
August 15, 2020
Time: 6:15 AM
*RING*
The dreadful sound of your alarm filled your sleeping ears, filling the once still room and waking you up in the process.
"Please just shut up." You groaned as you threw a pillow towards the metallic clock, knocking it on the floor and shutting it off for the day.
'Man, I blame Suna for getting me that.' You thought as you rolled off your bed and onto the carpeted floor.
Stretching your arms and legs, you grab the uniform that was neatly folded on the corner of the bed and walk into the bathroom. Placing it on top of the counter, you turn the shower handle to freezing before jumping inside.
Shivering from the sudden temperature change, your body soon eased into the cold water allowing you to relax properly.
As you rinse the soap from your body, you begin to get lost in thought thinking of just how fast the new school year had arrived.
Ever since Suna's confession and vow, the both of you had grown closer to each other. Both friend wise and romantically in a way.
You couldn't deny, things were a bit awkward the day after Suna poured out his feelings, but you both promised to not have this impact your friendship so you continued on.
Truth be told, your feelings for Suna had definitely increased over the summer break. You'd often catch yourself becoming flustered over a simple gesture Suna would do, even if it was just a hug or grabbing your hands. It wasn't something you minded, it was more the fact that there was a double meaning behind his actions.
Keeping your word, over the past two months you slowly worked through your fear that had plagued your life in private.
It was for the better if no one really knew because they would constantly ask you if you were alright, which you were and you were grateful to be surrounded by people you cared about, but it got repetitive hearing those three words everyday.
Suna was the only one who knew, and you sternly implied that this was a matter that you had to deal with by yourself if you ever wanted to move on.
The thought of moving on was still a pestering feeling deep within you, but you'd recognized that it was better this way.
During the summer you'd spent almost everyday with Suna, Hina, and the twins. The rest had gone on vacation which you were a bit sad at first but that feeling quickly vanished.
You ended up visiting Tokyo again as it had become a yearly tradition to visit his grave, along with your friend. You'd spent about a week up there before saying your goodbyes and returning to Hyogō.
It was saddening visiting and coming back home, but Suna made it feel less lonely.
*KNOCK*
The sound of a loud knock made your head go up as you changed into your uniform.
"Ill be out in a sec!" You shout as you quickly finish the rest of your routine.
Quickly exiting the bathroom, you run to open your bedroom door before a figure jumps up from the floor blocking your vision momentarily.
You scream in shock as a response while putting a hand over your heart.
"WHAT THE FUCK!" You say, catching your breath while starting daggers at the boy laughing on the floor.
Rolling your eyes, you grab both of his arms and try your best to drag him inside.
