tw// divorce

Heeseung went home but it was unusually quiet.

He went inside and took off his shoes.

He thought that maybe his parents finally fixed things.

Then he saw his parents sitting in front of each other by the table in their kitchen.

He didn't want to distract them and walked straight to his room, but he heard something that he wished he never did.

"...let's just sign the divorce papers and finish all of these."

He was wrong.

His parents are talking about separation.

Heeseung felt weak.

He ran to his room and locked it.

He hated his parents for being indifferent about his feelings.

He wanted them to stop fighting and end everything.

But not like this.

Tears started falling down his cheeks.

He sat at the corner of his bed, hugging his knees.

How is he going to continue living, when he couldn't hold onto his parents anymore?

Heeseung fell asleep crying, and no one was there to shine light on his dark day.
