(Y/N)'s POV:
I don't know what time it was when I woke up from my little nap. All I knew is that I was thirsty. So I reluctantly got up and began to make my way out of my room and towards the kitchen. I was rubbing my eyes as I walked and as I looked around, I noticed how...empty the hallway seemed to be. It made me feel a bit paranoid - which woke me up, so not a totally bad thing - and I started to speed walk towards the kitchen.
As soon as I entered, I opened one of the cupboards and quickly grabbed a cup. Practically slamming the cupboard door closed. I hastily reached for the tap, my hands shaking slightly as I filled it up. Some water splashed on my shirt but I didn't pay attention, I was just too focused on getting out of here and back to the safety of my bedroom.
Once it was full - practically almost overflowing - I drank a good bit of it before taking a deep breath to calm my racing heart and growing anxiety. When I turned around I bumped into someone. I accidentally spilled my water on them, but I wasn't concerned about that right now. The glass fell out of my hand and hit the floor with a smash, all the pieces of the broken glass hitting the floor.
I backed away and was ready to defend myself from an attack but it never came. I looked and my eyes managed to focus on the person I spilled my water on. Her dark purple hair in twin braids, her pissed off expression as she looked down at her wet clothing. I recognized who it was even before she spoke.
"H-Hey! Wh-What the hell!?" Toko screamed at me.
I shook my head and lightly slapped myself in the face. Damn, being in this place has really made my anxiety levels shoot through the roof. I don't remember the last time I was this paranoid.
"Sorry, Toko. I'm just a bit..." I trailed off, trying to think of a word or two to finish my sentence. "...on edge." I finish.
"W-well, we all are! I-It doesn't g-give you an excuse t-to dump f-freezing cold water on m-me!" She shouted.
She had a point, but honestly, what was she doing behind me anyways?
"If you don't mind me asking, why were you standing directly behind me?" I ask.
She seemed to tense up at my question and went silent. Maybe she was thinking of how to reply to my question? Maybe coming up with a good excuse of why she was clearly behind me to try and kill me-
"Shut up paranoia!" I thought.
After a couple more minutes of awkward silence, Toko finally replied.
"W-Well, after we f-found Byakuya, y-you went straight t-to your room..." Toko trails off.
"So...you were worried about me...?" I asked, sounding unsure.
Toko's eyes widened and she glared at me.
"N-No! Why would I b-be worried a-about y-you!?" She exclaimed.
I sweat dropped. "Sorry...I didn't mean to assume." I apologize.
Another awkward silence fell upon us. I don't remember the last time I wasn't able to have a conversation with someone.
"Um...would you like to hangout with me for a bit...?" I asked.
Toko seemed taken aback by my offer and she stepped back a bit. Her eyes were wide behind her glasses and she just stared at me, blinking every couple of seconds.
"A-Are you s-serious?" She asked me.
I tilt my head a bit. I hate to admit that I was confused by her question, but I was.
