A/N - set in 1930s Chicago
---
Friday night.
The speakeasy is even busier than I thought as I take a seat at the bar. The female singer on stage has my attention, same with all the other men that ogle towards her. "What can I get for you love?" The bartender asks me. "Sex on the beach, make it strong" I smile and he nods. After a moment, I feel a presence behind me. "Sex on the beach hmm? Cheeky much" A smooth-talking voice says to me.
A guy takes the seat beside me and I get a good look at him. Tall, handsome, muscular and smells good. He wore a newsboy cap and circular glasses that sat on the bridge of his nose. "Who are you, stranger?" I demand. "Jan Erlone at your service. You got a name?" Jan replies. "Y/n" I hold my hand out and he shakes it warmly before sneaking in a kiss against my skin. I flush hot red.
"Here you are ma'am" the bartender slides my drink to me. I dip into my purse to pay when Jan beats me to it. "For the lady and me," he says with a smirk, I can tell he feels like a man. "Well aren't you a gentleman" I tease. " I can be anything you like sweetheart" he flirts and I feel butterflies in my stomach. I spend the night getting to know this mysterious charmer, it feels like it's just us there.
When the glasses are empty, he leads me to the dancefloor and holds onto my waist. "Didn't expect to meet a gorgeous lady like yourself tonight" he whispers in my ear and I melt. "You keep flirting like that and I might have to take you home" I reply and I catch his eyes glinting in the light. We dance the night away, my body warm in his embrace. I can see a few other jealous ladies watching but I don't care, he's mine.
"How about we take this to the car?" I ask.
Jan grins and pulls me along as we exit the forbidden speakeasy. The chilly Chicago air nips at my skin and I'm led to a 1932 Ford V8, blue to be exact. Jan whisks open the door for me. "M'lady," he says jokingly and I giggle as I climb inside. Together, we go for a drive around town before I give him directions to my apartment.
"You're a dime Y/n," he tells me as we park in the street. "Then kiss me" I reply boldly. It's probably the alcohol talking but I didn't mind. With no hesitation Jan leans in and meets my lips, engaging in a fiery kiss. I'm so caught up I don't ever want this night to end. "How about you come inside, keep a girl company?" I propose.
Jan smiles brightly.
"You read my mind sweetheart."
