Too busy thinking about before

We had all just finished having dinner and Thor, Nat, Steve, Tony and Bucky had a mission earlier so they were very tired and decided to go to bed early. I was feeling bored so I went to the library.

I picked up a random book without looking at what it was about. I started reading it but my mind kept thinking back to when Loki and I were in that room hiding from Nat. I realised I had been thinking about that moment when I saw a figure pass by the door. I turned my head towards the door and saw it was Loki.

He walked back to see me in the library and I turned my head to the book I was holding. out of the corner of my eye, I could see him walk in and pick up a book. Like me, he didn't care which one he picked since he didn't even look at the book when he picked it.

He sat on the couch in front of me. I looked at him and he gave me a small smile then we both went back to reading our books. We both kept giving each other small glances and quickly looked away whenever the other saw we were looking at them.

After some time, he put his book away and walked over to me and I gave him a confused look before returning to my book. I hated the fact that there was some kind of tension and awkwardness between us after we just made out. Even after the thing that happened in the corridor, it was very awkward being in the same room as him.

"What's the book about?" He asked, looking at me with a cheeky smile knowing damn well I hadn't been paying attention to the book.

"Umm... honestly, I don't really know," I responded.

"Too busy thinking about before?" He said with a mocking smile.

"Well, what was your book about then?" I asked, with the same smile.

"Uhh... I don't know," he said, making his tone quieter so you could barely hear the end.

We both stopped talking and looked at each other. We leaned in closer and closer until our lips met. I quickly pulled away, scared that someone would come in and see us. He looked at me confused and I gave him a look too scared to say something in case I say something stupid and I fuck it up. I don't think he understood what I was trying to say but he gave me a nod.

He stood up and put his hand out for me to grab. I took it standing up slowly, not knowing what he was gonna do. He walked around the compound trying to find a place for us to sit. I just walked beside him still holding hands.

As we walked I tripped over myself, but before I fell Loki grabbed me by my waist and helped me stabilize myself. He asked if I was alright and I told him yes. We continued walking and Loki felt more determined to go to a certain place. He probably had an idea of where to go, so I followed. He kept one arm around my waist as he walked.

We got to the porch and we sat down and looked up at the stars. I knew what each star meant now because Loki had taught me. I started telling him about the things he told me about the stars. He nodded along while I was talking, correcting me from time to time whenever I got something wrong. We had both gotten slightly tired so Loki pulled me closer towards him, conjuring a blanket for the both of us.

After some time I looked at him and saw he had fallen asleep and smiled.

Am I falling for him? Should I fall for him?" I thought.

I cuddled closer to his side and before I knew it, I fell asleep.
