• realizing they're not that bad •

• So, you stood there with your lunch tray in your hands, not knowing where to go.

• almost all the tables were filled with kids chattering and laughing and yelling

• and you thought It would be really weird just walking up to a random table and sitting there with some random children who you don't know and they don't know you and it would be really awkward.

• LIKE it's been a week and the only people from this school you've had a conversation with were the gang and jesus christ you were definetly not going back to those guys.

• basically you were panicking.

• THEN you notice a table in the far corner
• it's empty
• yay
• *does small happy dance*

• so you sit at that table
• and you are about to take a bite from your apple when -

• "you're sitting in my place dollface"
• almost gagging at the nickname, you realize who the voice belongs to.
• you just had no luck

• before you know it, you're face to face with Patrick Hockstetter
• (yes, you've already learned their names because apparently they're very popular and feared in the school)

• so uh, back to Patrick
• he has a stupid smirk on his face
• and the others are standing behind him.

• what do you do?
• uhm, gulp down your fear I guess, since you turn your back to him and inform him that you will not be getting up.

• you expect him to yell at you and yank you off the seat or something
• BUT he chuckles weirdly and sits next to you.

• Henry sits next to him, then Reggie and Victor. (Like in a circle so Vic is on your other side)

• can you imagine the awkwardness I can't-
• and they just casually start chatting and eating and like
• wtf I mean that would be so weird
• cause they literally don't mind you being there, you've already proven that you're tough

• but you're scared to death and want to evaporate just like poof
• so you start getting up

• more like Vic stops you:
• "Chill y/n we're not gonna eat you or something"

• "SpEAk fOr YoURselF asShOlE" - you can take a guess at who that was
(ahem Patrick ahem)

• they shut him up.
• you ignore the creepy smile on his face and stay.
• and you eat, what else you gotta do?

• you also start observing, cause you keep wondering why these boys are being not so cruel to you.

• you notice Vic leaning a little into Reggie, but pay no mind to it.
• but then you notice Reggie playing with Henry's fingers across the table...

• you nearly aww at how cute that seemed.
• maybe these boys were way more than just a gang.

• your eyes shift to patrick's face, and you're met with an expression that is not at all creepy. He's smiling at Belch, quite nicely.
• you also take notice that him and Henry are holding hands under the table

• your heart warms up.
• at that exact moment, none of them seemed as cruel and evil as everyone in the school described.
• they seemed normal and happy and... in love.

• So maybe they weren't actually as horrible as you've heard other say.
• nobody had gotten this close to the gang before as you were now...
• and you tend to pay attention to small details...

• lost in thought, you didn't realize you're eyes were still glued to patrick until he looked over at you..
• he smiles
• and then winks at you gosh

• but u smile back

• these boys were just misunderatood.
