Edgar stood in front of his canvas. He was working on another painting , as always. Light brushstrokes were painted on the surface of the canvas. He sighed and put his paintbrush into his water cup. He sat on his bed, taking a break, very unusual of him but he felt as if he needed it. He pulled an all nighter that night working on his new masterpiece and hadn't slept.

He lay on the bed with his arms behind his head, closing his eyes slightly. As he began to doze off, there was rapid knocking on his door. He jumped from his bed and rubbed his eyes. He sluggishly made his way to the door and started to open it slowly but the door was flung open by the sudden visitor. He quickly got out of the way, so he didn't get hit.

Luca's head peeked around the door, seeing Edgar against the wall. He chuckled and grabbed his hands.

"Sorry about that, Eddie. Didn't mean to scare ya!" he apologized.

Edgar scratched the back of his head and walked over to his canvas.

"Don't do that again. What do you want?"

Luca tapped his finger against his lip, trying to remember why he came. His brain sparked.

"I wanted to ask you to teach me how to paint!" he exclaimed, hugging Edgar from behind.

Edgar's eyes widened and raised his eyebrow. That's not something Luca would usually say, he would mostly talk about his inventions. He doesn't know anything about true art.

"When did you become interested in art?" he asked, putting his hands on his hips.

Luca grinned.

"I just want to learn something new and what's a better idea than ask my beautiful boyfriend~" he cooed, and leaned against the painter's chest.

"Tch, fine but listen carefully to me. I won't repeat myself." he huffed, handing Luca one of his unused canvases.

The inventor's face brightened and he grabbed it. He smiled widely and sat on the chair beside Edgar. Edgar put out paints and a paintbrush on the desk Luca was sitting at. He moved his canvas stand closer to Luca, so he could start teaching.

He fixed his bow and began.

"Now pay attention. There are three primary colours, red, blue and yellow. You can mix these to make other colours. I gave you white to lighten any colour you use." he explained.

Luca nodded his head and continued to listen.

"Secondary colours are, orange, purple and green. Which you make after mixing the primary colours. Red and blue makes purple, blue and yellow makes green and yellow and red makes orange. Got it?"

Luca nodded again.

"How do I make pink and brown? he asked, tilting his head.

Edgar sighed.

"Pink is made from red and white. Brown can be made from mixing red, yellow and black, or blue and orange. I'll give you black paint." Edgar went on.

"Ooh ok! Wow Eddie, you're so smart and talented!" Luca gushed, rocking on his chair, excitedly.

"Of course I am! I mean, just look at me. I'm Edgar Valden... the artist." he boasted, flipping his hair.

"Now, let me show you different kinds of painting techniques."

He leaned over Luca's shoulder and put the paintbrush in his hand. Luca blushed and looked up at him.

He giggled and kissed Edgar's cheek, earning a light hit on the head.

"This is not an invitation to get kisses. I'm just trying to help you, idiot." Edgar stuttered.

Luca gave a toothy smile and laughed.

"Ok Eddie, show me how it's done!"

Edgar positioned the paintbrush properly into Luca's hand and used his own to move it around. He showed him different kind of brushstrokes and how to move his hand.

"And then you flick it upwards. Got it?" he asked.

Luca nodded again and began painting. He splattered, mixed and maybe even ate some paint. Edgar rolled his eyes and concentrated on his own piece.

After a couple of minutes he decided to check on Luca's artwork. He peeked over his shoulder and Luca quickly covered his canvas.

"No looking until I'm finished!" he smiled.

Edgar returned to his own art and side-eyed Luca to try get a glace of his painting but was unsuccessful. He scoffed and looked away. He could hear Luca giggling and talking to himself. He couldn't make out what he was saying so he ignored it.

After 30 minutes they both finished and Edgar went to check Luca's piece. Luca was very giggly and stimmed happily.

"Can I see?" Edgar asked.

"Of course!" he squealed, shoving the canvas into Edgar's hands.

Edgar was happy about Luca's enthusiasm in art and lifted the canvas to examine it. He flushed red as he looked at the painting. Luca had painted a picture of them both holding hands in a field. It was very messy in Edgar's opinion but he loved it and found it adorable. He walked over to his wall of paintings and hung it up. Luca glanced up at him as he returned.

"Why'd you hang it up, Eddie?" he wondered. "Did ya like it that much?"

Edgar looked down at Luca and smiled softly.

"I love it, you idiot." he sighed.

Luca smiled from ear to ear and jumped out his chair. He hugged Edgar tightly.

"Thank you! Now I can be a great artist like you!" he proclaimed.

"I guess. Well, not as good as me of course, but you are a little talented." he chuckled.

Luca stuck his tongue out and leaned in for a quick peck on the lips.

"Thanks Eddie! I'm happy you like it!"

Edgar turned his head away and pouted. Luca wrapped his hands around Edgar's waist.

"Stop that dumbass! That's embarrassing..." Edgar murmured.

"Don't be like that, Eddieee~" Luca purred. "You love cuddles and kisses right~?"

Edgar gently pushed him towards the door .

"Get out, idiot. You only came here to paint. Nothing else."

Luca smirked and batted his eyelashes.

"F-fine, maybe later. Now go!" he stuttered, stumbling over his words.

Luca giggled and rushed out of the room. Edgar sighed deeply and shut the door. He walked over to his bed and plopped down. He stared at his canvas with the finished painting. It really was a masterpiece.

The painted portrait of Luca was placed neatly against the stand. Edgar couldn't help but admire it. It was beautiful. All of the facial features were painted perfectly. The painting brought out the beauty of Luca that Edgar was too embarrassed admit out loud. He shows his feelings in the form of art. That's what Luca found fascinating about him. He loves it when Edgar paints his emotions to tell him how he feels.

He took the painting and hung it beside his bed. He sat on the bed and stared at it lovingly. He couldn't stress enough about how much Luca means to him. Painting him makes it feel like he's always going to be there.

That's what he loved about art.

And about Luca.
