Edgar wandered around the manor, thinking to himself. "Where have I seen that face before..?" he muttered. "He seems so familiar."
He's been deep in thought about this for months on end, eventually worrying the others. Emma walked over to him and tapped his shoulder. He quickly turned around, which startled her.
She fiddled with her fingers and looked at him. "Umm.. Edgar? We're getting worried about you, is something wrong?" she asked. "You seem to be a lot more distant than usual.."
Edgar snapped out of his daze briefly and shook his head. "It's nothing.. don't worry about me. I'm perfectly fine." He stormed away, leaving Emma confused.
She rushed back to the other survivors and lowered her head a little. "He says he's alright, but I don't believe him. I mean, he's never been like this before. He's more in thought and distant than usual. I know something's bothering him." she sighed. "We need to find out what it is, to see if he can help him."
They all agreed and went about their day, constantly checking in on Edgar. Andrew spoke to him, then Kurt, then Tracy and so on. He started to get annoyed and retreated to his room, flopping on the bed.
He covered his face with his arms, groaning loudly. "Why isn't my brain working..?" he mumbled. "Where have I seen that face before?" He sat up sluggishly and moved over to his canvas, holding a wet brush against the surface. It started to tick him off and he grit his teeth.
After a few hours passed and there was a knock on the door. He slumped over and opened it slowly. "What is it? I'm wallowing away in my sorrows.." He looked up and saw Luca, brushing down his clothes. He didn't want to be seen as untidy for anyone.
Luca glanced down at him with his eyebrows drooped. "Hey Ed, are you alright? I wanted to come ask you personally. "If you need to talk, I'm here.." He noticed that Edgar was off. "You're acting a little strange, you can talk to me you know. If it's something embarrassing I won't judge.. I won't pressure you though, I'm just worried about you.."
Edgar stared at him, stuttering a little. "U-umm.. I'm fine, don't worry. I'm alright, it's fine." He looked around before shutting the door, leaving Luca perplexed. He held his finger up but left.
"There's definitely something wrong with him." he told the others. "He's quite pale too.. he may be sick. I'm not sure though." He scratched the back of his head and sighed deeply. "I wanna know if he's ok."
Days have passed and Edgar still hasn't told anyone anything. They worried even more and constantly knocked at his door, asking him questions. He wasn't just ticked off anymore. He was mad and shut the door aggressively on everyone, shouting at them to leave him alone.
Luca started walking down the hallway. "I'm gonna go check on him now, I'll be right back."
"I wouldn't do that Luca, he's really mad right now. He's even yelled at Victor and Andrew, who you know are extremely close to him." Tracy commented.
"Don't even worry about it, I'm close to him as well!" He didn't listen to her and walked away, towards Edgar's room. He let himself inside. "Eddie, you're yelling at everyone, something's definitely wrong. You can tell me anything."
"Get out of my room! I told you I'm fine!"
Luca stormed over to him and sat him on the bed, holding his shoulders. He furrowed his eyebrows. "No. You tell me what's wrong!" he yelled, shaking him a little. "You're upset about something, please tell me!"
Edgar pushed Luca back and crossed his arms, pouting. "I'm fine. I've told you all already, just leave me alone!"
Luca was getting impatient and pinned Edgar down on his bed, towering over him, sat on his knees. "Eddie, I won't ask again. Tell me what's wrong with you."
