We landed right behind our family. Miguel hopped off and then Héctor looked at Mamá Imelda and me and held out his hand but Mamá Imelda just looked at him then at me and helped me down.
I leaned against Tía Rosita while Miguel was telling Mamá Imelda what had actually happened to Héctor.
"You left me alone with a child to raise and I'm just supposed to forgive you?" Mamá Imelda said in an unbelieving tone. "Imelda I-" Héctor was cut off as he fell the the floor in pain. "Héctor!" Miguel said and ran to him.
"You don't have to forgive him! Just please help him!" Miguel said desperately to Mamá Imelda.
Mamá Imelda looked at them for a moment before speaking. "I can't forgive. But I will help you" Mamá Imelda said in a determine voice. As I was listening to this I started to lean less on Tía Rosita and by the end of it I was standing on my own and walking fine.
