Reuniting with the girls

Chapter 4

When we entered the great hall which was decorated with all the colours of the houses, me, Lily and Marlene walked towards the Gryffindor table and took our seats.

I sat next to Marlene and opposite Lily, soon after we sat down and a few other students came in we were approached by our other two  friends,

"Why hello you two!"
Sang Marlene as Mary and Alice took their seats next to lily

"Hello," said Alice with her elegantly soft voice;

Mary was quite a small girl with dark curly brown hair that just passed her shoulders. Her light brown skin complemented her greenie-brown eyes that sparkled when the light hit them just right.

Mary was a kinda popular girl so most people at Hogwarts knew her, she was a friend who would keep a secret and who would help you through anything and everything, she was one of the sweetest girls at school until you hurt one of her friends.

Alice, on the other hand, was kinda tall not as tall as Remus but still tall, she had short thin light brown hair with dark brown eyes which sometimes looked black with pale skin.

Alice was that bubbly type of girl who, would skip down the hallways and start a conversation with anyone. She would try to make everyone's day better and she could just with her smile. But don't take her for granted, she can be quite scared when mad and will stand up to anyone.

They all chatted about their summers and watched the sorting, me and Marlene didn't really pay any attention to the sorting it was always boring, so whenever Lily clapped we clapped.

After the sorting Marlene and Alice stuffed their faces with food but for me, Lily & Mary just had something small to eat,

After we were all done eating we all went to our dorms.

As we waited for Lily to return from prefect duties I told them about the last 3 weeks of summer, since I didn't say anything about it in the great hall.

I told them about James and Sirius both throwing me into the pool and told them about Lily and James,

"Yea so Black thought that me and James were 'shag buddies' and James went all 'big brother' on him. It was quite funny actually.."

"Wait so Sirius thought that you and James hook up?!" Gasped Mary

"You and James.. nahh- can't see it. But you and Sirius on the other hand.!?!" Marlene chuckled

"What! Me and Black no.. besides he has a crush on someone" I say as lying down on my bed looking up

Just as Mary was about to say something Lily walks through the door,

"Hey, what are you all talking about?"

She walked over and sat on her bed

"Nothing really, just that Marlene sayin me and Black would be cute.."

"Wait- you like Sirius?"

"No I was just telling them about movie night and that he thought me and James hook up" I laugh as sitting up to face Lily,

As I mentioned movie night Lily turned slightly red remembering the events of 'movie night'

"You know lils, I think you should give James a chance?" Commented Mary

"Yea cuz that poor Kid has been loyal since day one first-year" Marlene expresses dramatically as Lily slaps her face into her pillow

"C'mon lils, he's not that bad.. you spent three weeks without arguing"
I Moaned as lying back down.

After a while of talking about Lily and James, we decide to go to bed because we have classes first thing in the morning.

The next morning surprisingly I woke up before anyone else which is Rare because I'm normally the last to get out of bed in the mornings,

I got ready quietly so as not to disturb the other girls sleeping.

While I was finishing my makeup Mary woke up,

"Merlin, you're up bloody early"
She yawned looking at the clock on her nightstand.

"Yea I know"
I stated while making my way out of the bathroom

I went to sit on my bed and got my sketchbook out

"What you drawing?"

"Marlene, cuz look at her just look how she's sleeping"

Mary carried on getting ready, and at some point, Lily got up and had to get ready then head down to the first years to make sure they know where they're going.
Because you know... prefect duties..

"Done!, wanna see mar?"

"Yeah, show mee"

"Alright here"

I show the small girl the sketch and the silence that filled the room got replaced by echoing giggles,

Then Marlene woke up to two of her best friend's giggling at some piece of parchment

"What are you two giggling about?"

"You!"
We say inSync

I show the sketch of herself to her and she got a little flustered..

"That's actually quite good tho, I feel honoured Aline, your bloody talented"
Marlene utters as she got up and heads into the bathroom.

"Thanx marls, well I'll see you all at breakfast," I imply grabbing my books for the day and walked out to the great hall.
