Chapter 8
After Gryffindor won the match the whole team were ecstatic, and by winning this match that means the next match will be against Slytherin.
As we all walked back up to the Castle me and Marlene could see Amos pulling Mary behinds a tree, we didn't think anything of it at first so we just kept walking
"Where's Mary?" Asked lily when we entered our dorms
"We saw her go behind a tree with Amos so we just left her with him.." resolved Marlene
"I don't like it... I don't like how Mary's with him. She knows what he's done and what he could do... right?" Lily sounded uneasy about Mary and Amos alone together but there was nothing any of us could do.
"So am I lils but you can't do anything about it, it's Mary's choice if she wants to date him."
I pleaded
The room went quiet.. then a knock broke the hushed silence
"Alina Marlene the team is having a little party thing do u wanna join? You know just the team cuz the Halloween party is soon."
Invited James peeking his head through the door
"Yeah sure we'll be down in a minute"
"Okay c'ya in a minute then"
After James left Mary came back, she entered the room with the biggest smile on her face,
"Woah- what's happened whats your mouth doing? Are u... smiling?" Marlene practically yelled dramatically
"Haha very funny" scoffed Mary
"So? What happened then," lily asked
"Well... Amos told me-"
"Sorry can't hear it right now we have a party to get to come to Alina"
Lily glared a 'don't leave me' look at me before I mouthed sorry.
Marlene then hauled me out of the room and into the common room where the rest of the team were waiting for us.
"There's the girl of the hour" smirked Sirius as we were walking down the stairs from the girl's dorms,
We all headed to the room of requirement where we will have our little party to celebrate our victory.
When we got to the big rustic door, which opened up to one of the best places in Hogwarts, it was decorated and had antique leather sofa's facing each other.
The fireplace was roaring as the fire danced, There were drinks and food across a table and a record player where the grand piano normally was, the room had red streamers draped over the ceiling and a big chandelier hung down in the Centre.
The diamonds from the chandelier shattered peace's of light all around the room, reflecting of every surface.
We all took a seat on the sofas and started to chat about the game, when Sirius turned the record player on and started to play Queen,
Of course, Queen and David Bowie were the only records playing probably because it was all Sirius' music
We all laughed and chatted for a good thirtieth minute;
James challenged Marlene to see who could take more shots and Marlene never backed down from a challenge.
Me and Sirius betted on who would win, I betted 3 gallons on Marlene and he betted 3 gallons on James.
"Ha! I think someone owes me 3 gallons Mr Black" I smirked devilishly at the tall long black haired boy
James was practicing choking on his 7th shot while Marlene was shooting some of her 12th, as she slammed her shot glass onto the table u could see the pride seeping out of her.
"I suppose I do miss Nightly"
After an hour of us all drinking we were all a little tipsy but not like James who was completely wasted,
"Would you care to Dance miss Nightly?" Implored Sirius while holding his hand out for me to take it, as I looked from his hand to his eyes I could see a glint of chaos and mischief as he shone his playful smirk.
I was sitting next to Marlene on one of the sofa's, I look at Marlene then back at Sirius and said:
"Why of course Mr Black" as I take his hand and walk over to a space away from the sofas.
When Sirius said 'dance' he really meant 'let's just talk and kinda move out body's left to right and occasionally I'll spin you around'
"What's up?"
"Nothing, can't I just ask a friend to dance?" Sirius said innocently but we both know it wasn't innocent,
"I guess but not with you,"
"Wow.. that hurts Alina"
"Stop beings-"
"Amazing? Handsome? Hot? Enticing?"
"I was gonna say dramatic but okay" I laughed I could feel his eyes on me, they never left and I could sense his smirk turned into a genuine smile.
"So you think I'm amazing, handsome, hot?! Enti-"
"I didn't say that"
"You didn't have to" he winked then grabbed my hand and spun me around
"I didn't know you could dance,"
I confess While Sirius had one hand in mine and the other on my waist,
"Well when u grow up in the
'noble and most ancient house of black' you Learn a lot"
"I suspect that you know how to do a lot of things then.."
"Like what?.. what do u have in mind Nightly?"
"I- um well I don't know" I was feeling a little flustered at this point not knowing where this conversation was leading
"Oh, merlin... I better go help James before he breaks a bone or something"
I turn around and look where Sirius was looking seeing that James was now standing on top of a table singing to David Bowie, nearly falling into the fireplace,
"Yeah I think you should take him back to your dorm he needs sleep"
And with that Sirius took my hand once more and placed an elegant kiss upon my knuckles, and left
~
The next morning I woke up to the grunting of Marlene's hangover,
My head was a little sore but I could deal with it.
"Come on girls we need to get to the library" ordered lily as she ripped off our covers
"Get up will you!"
"Ahh let me sleep in peace women"
I tiredly yelled trying desperately to pull my covers back over my head but Lily wasn't having it,
"Why don't u take Mary to the library" moaned Marlene who just fell out of bed
"Because Mary is with Amos all day and you two promised to go with me today"
"Fine. Fine we'll be in the Library in an hour" I said as Marlene gave me a threatening look from across the room

"I can't believe you! How could u do this to me, Alina!?" Wined Marlene as we were walking through the corridors to the library,
"We have to go to the library for Lily's sake but James has booked the quidditch pitch in about an hour so w-"
"We ditch lily and go to quidditch practice!" Beamed Marlene
"Well I wouldn't have put it that way but yeah I guess"
