They made soldiers out of children,
Dragged the young into their wars,
Made them bleed without a worth,
Lonely on the naked earth.
Used civilians as leverage,
Used the bloodshed as their stage,
Took everything that they weren't supposed to take,
Our world they chose to break.
They made martyrs out of heroes
And heroes out of worse,
Out of people that wouldn't save the day
If you took their pay away.
Strip them of their money and all their fame
And their battle cry will no longer be in your name.
Making villains out of the broken
Knowing that they couldn't win,
Called them savages and beasts
While you let the crows have feasts.
You wrote yourselves as winners
When you were nothing but sinners
And so many gave you their trust
When you were letting the world rust
Because, unless the prey will learn to write
We will always know the story from the hunter's side.
And, God, how much I wanted
To believe that society is just corrupted,
That we can still demolish their dynasty...
I was wrong. Corruption is society.
