'What would you like to order sir'

'Thai curry with fried rice and a cold drink'

'And Mam?'

'I'll have  veg noodles along with a Mojito'

The waiter dressed in black uniform took our order and left. We were sitting in a multi cuisine  restaurant which was quit popular amongst the locals . It was situated on the first floor and you could get a clear view of the street from the wide windows . Unfortunately all the window side tables were already occupied .

'So how are you? ' Aryaman initiated a conversation. The drive till the restaurant was quite , we didn't spoke much .

'Good ..why ?' I questioned

'You just had a breakup...it must be difficult for you' he replied

'It is , but I am doing fine now'

'If you don't want to talk about it it's ok' he continued

I just smiled as a reply not wanting to extend this topic.

'So you met some really rich people today' He thankfully changed the topic

'Oh yes , what a day it has been' the faces of those rich people or may I say the face of one particular person came infront of me

'I am not very happy about this project' Aryaman said

Aryaman handles the videography and everything else related to that of the weddings . He works as the lead   photographer in the company .

'Why?' I was confused

'It's very difficult to work with such wealthy people , they think the world revolves around them ' he kept his hands on the table 'They don't treat us common people well'

'I don't know yaar.. till now toh they seemed fine'

'Right now you  don't know them probably , first meeting thi na (It was the first meeting).  Elites look down upon people whose bank balance is not close to theirs. ' the rage in his tone was increasing with every word 'Their is so much of poverty around them but they don't care . They steal from poor to build their empire , money is the only thing that matters in their life .'

'I agree that there is  discrimination based on class and status . But we should also not judge people before knowing them properly' I didn't want to start this new journey with a preconceived notion about someone based on other people's opinion .

'You'll soon agree with whatever I said' Only time would tell . I didn't say anything because there was no point of extending this topic .

'Talking about rich,  I have heard there's an expensive restaurant nearby' I said with excitement , food's definitely a mood changer .

Our drinks arrived before the meal .

'Oh ya it's quite famous  , heard they serve the best Italian cuisine in the city' Aryaman responded . His tone was calmer this time.

See food is the solution of every problem

'I'll probably have to sell my house to book a table there' he joked

'Someday I'll take you to that restaurant my friend ' I said while bringing the straw  placed on the drink towards my lips

'I hope till then that 'My friend' would be turned into .....' he winked

I just rolled my eyes and chuckled.
