shadyside. shittyside. hell. call it what you want, the place sucks. and if you require a definition for "sucks", billie slater hopes six serial killers (and counting!), low employment rates, and a crappy standalone high school will suffice as an explanation to her hometown's crappiness.
and that was nothing personal. billie has plenty of her own, individual justifications as to why shadyside was a page out of satan's notebook, alongside the fact that hundreds had lost their lives to mass murderers, gone psycho, and her poor education. because billie hated life. her dad had walked out on her, her brother, and her tragic excuse for a mother only two months ago; her brother's new girlfriend, cindy berman, was an insufferable know-it-all that wiped his ass; and, due to her mother's need for "alone-time", she was forced, yet again, (billie would like to re-insinuate her lack of control over this situation!) to spend her precious summer break, trapped in a wooden (and rotting!) bunk with wiseass nick goode.
since her parents hated her so much, billie and her brother, tommy, had been sent to camp nightmare nightwing several times before. so much so, billie had earned the pleasure of becoming a supervisor there! oh how she loved it! helping kids to the bathroom, so she could pass them the toilet roll and literally wipe their ass when necessary! spending hours lying awake because seven-year-olds thought summer was an excuse to stay up late no matter their age! forced into close proximity of nick goode (her intolerable ex-boyfriend, she'd like you to know) just because he just so happened to be a supervisor too!
