The loud beep of Jungkook's alarm woke you, your body turning to look at this. He lay facing towards you, his hand positioned under his pillow. Despite the noise he refused to move, eyes still tightly shut.
"Kookie," you whispered, poking his dimpled cheek lightly. You could tell by the small smile forming on his face he knew what was happening and was very aware of the loud five o'clock alarm. "Get up lazy, I know you're awake."
You sighed, going to grab his hand under the duvet, but he grabbed yours first, pulling you into his chest tightly. "Not going," he mumbled in his sleepy state, "staying with you."
The early alarm meant one thing, Jungkook was heading back out on tour. He had to be at the airport for nine, the early alarm giving him plenty of time to sort himself out beforehand and grab a quick shower.
"You are going, Jungkook. I don't want you to go, but it's your job, and there's a lot of fans who cannot wait to see your handsome face."
"I'm your handsome face jagi," he whispered, scattering a few kisses along your jaw. "Plus, we have that thing that I really need to stay behind for."
"What thing?" You questioned, smirking as you could see his mind working. "Jungkook, what's the thing you've so desperately got to stay behind for." The quiet silence told you everything, bringing your hand up to his cheek, pecking his nose. "What is really going on Kook?"
He sighed, snuggling further into his pillow. "I just really don't want to go. I've never felt like this before, but recently things between us have gone so well and I am not ready to give that up for three weeks on the road on stage."
"I'll still be here when you get back," you assured him, feeling his hand rest over your own. "You're right, things are going well, and they still will be when you get back. We can call, and text, it'll be like I'm right in the room."
As you finished speaking, you couldn't help but allow a small yawn to escape, covering your mouth in embarrassment. "No! My baby is tired, I've got to stay here and look after her."
Jungkook tried to hold you closer to him, but somehow you managed to muster the strength to wriggle out of his hold. As sweet as it was that he wanted to stay, you knew keeping him all to yourself was the selfish option, guaranteed to get him into trouble at work.
"Just get up and you'll feel better, no one really wants to get up at five in the morning."
You stood up first, Jungkook standing up after, collapsing straight back onto the bed. "I don't like it." He confirmed. You chuckled, walking over to his side of the bed, pulling him up by his arms. "Please don't do this to me."
"I don't want to JK, I want you here with me, but three weeks will fly by, and the boys are so looking forward to seeing you." He smiled, wrapping his arms around your waist.
He wasn't always the best at expressing his emotion, but as his head nuzzled into you, you knew exactly how he was feeling. Your hand ran through his hair, guaranteed to calm him down. You lightly swayed from side to side, yet just as Jungkook got comfortable, you pushed him aside.
"Let me help you pack." He sighed once more, watching you throw his last-minute items into his suitcase. You stared up at him as he watched your every move, his face looking mischievous. "What?"
"Do you think I would get in trouble if I somehow ended up accidentally leaving my passport here?" He scanned the room looking for it, knowing you had made sure to put it in his suitcase last night before you went to bed.
You leaned across, grabbing his black rucksack. "You mean the one I've already packed in here." You pulled it out of the front pocket making him frown. "Honestly, love, I know you're worried about us, but this has got to stop. No matter how much you put it off, you're going to end up on that plane one way or another."
"Can't you come with us?" He pleaded.
You shook your head, having already had the conversation with him once yesterday. "I've got work, just like you do. I wish I could come but I can't."
He nodded, reluctantly getting changed into his comfy attire for the flight. His bags were packed, it had already reached half five, his car was due in just fifteen minutes. He walked over, standing in front of you, wrapping his arms around your waist.
You brought yours up around his neck, pulling him down to sweetly kiss his lips. "Can we just stay like this for a bit? I'm not willing to let you go just yet."
"Of course. Promise me on tour you'll be fine. Don't let anything to do with us play on your mind, I promise you that when you come home nothing will have changed, I'll still be here, and we can go back to how things always are."
"I promise," he replied, "these three weeks can't go quick enough."
The two of you stayed cuddled for what felt like forever, only to be disturbed by a car horn from outside. Jungkook knew it was for him but kept his position in your arms.
"I think that's for you," you whispered, trying to pull away from him. "Jungkook, it's three weeks, come on babe."
"Love, are you sure we can't come up with an excuse for me to stay? Tell them you're ill or something, please." He begged all he could, but you weren't going to stand back and let him upset the thousands of fans waiting to see them.
You moved him away, leading him to the front door of your apartment. "Text me when you get to the airport and when you land. If you need me, I'm a call away, I love you Jungkook."
He leaned down and kissed you, his lips lingering in the hope he could savor the taste of your lips. "I love you more, I'll see you in three weeks." With one more peck, you waved him off as he carried his bags to the taxi.
Watching him leave broke you, but you knew you only had three weeks to wait until he was back in your arms.
