The bright lights as he entered the house were a clear sign someone was in, yet the emptiness of the house threw him. Jimin dropped his bag to the floor, safely locking the door before venturing further in.

Checking the time, he knew you should be home by now, yet there was no sign of you anywhere. His usual kiss hello was absent, a feeling he missed. Walking through your apartment, he began to hear quiet echoes.

The sounds travelled from your bedroom, capturing his attention. His pace quickened, as the sounds became clearer. He could hear you breathing, rather heavily, opening the door. Your frame was nowhere to be seen, but your sounds definitely were.

He found you sunk, with your back pressed against the side of the bed, your head buried in between your hands. You were struggling for breath as tears streamed down your face, your chest rapidly rising and falling, as did Jimin's.

He ran over to you, kneeling before you, pulling your head up in search of your eyes. "Hey," he whispered, attempting to dry some of your tears, "you're okay, I'm here."

You tried to speak, but no words came. Jimin knew, he was understanding, lifting your frame up to sit you on the more comfortable bed. You took a hold of his hand, bringing it to rest over your heart. Feeling it pound terrified him, his own heartbeat increasing too.

"Listen to me, I'm here, I'm not going anywhere, just keep breathing."

His eyes never left yours, counting from three to inhale, and then counting down to three to exhale. He always remembered how important it was to breathe in situations like this having suffered a panic attack or two himself before important shows.

"Focus on me, focus on your breathing." You nodded, taking as deep a breath as you could. His arms rested on your waist, keeping you steady, and upright. Your hands rested around his wrists, gripping them tightly when you began to panic.

Panic attacks were something you had experienced before but were usually something you were able to cope alone with. Not tonight, however, after a terrible day at work, the pressures became too much, you weren't able to fight through like you usually could.

The sudden bang from the apartment above you made you jump, your usually bright eyes darting around the room for any sign of incident.

Jimin's hand quickly came under your chin, redirecting your gaze to his soft smile, remaining there until your breaths finally began to steady. Once he was confident you were calming, he laid you down, draping a blanket over your exhausted figure.

"You had me worried there for a while," he smiled, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. "I don't know what's going on, but I want you to tell me, and let me look after you, okay?"

"Okay."

"Good. Now stay here, I'll go and grab you a glass of water and a change of clothes, don't move."

Watching him leave the room, you rolled over onto his side of the bed, snuggling down into his pillow. The comforting smell of his perfume relaxed you, your hand sliding under the material.

The realization soon dawned on you as to what had just happened, the state Jimin had found you in, the mess he probably now thought you were.

A few minutes later he reappeared, one of his jumpers in one hand, a glass of water in the other. He placed them both down, smiling as he saw where you lay, only to notice the tears streaming down your face once more.

"Jagi, babe, come on, no tears, you're alright." He went to lay down beside you, but you turned your back to him. He sighed, wrapping his arm comfortably around your waist, propping himself up with his elbow so he could see your face.

"Go away," you mumbled against the fabric of his pillow.

"I'm not going anywhere. Not until you at least tell me what's going on? I thought you were alright, why aren't you looking at me? Is it me? Have I done something?"

Instantly you were wracked with guilt, turning over to see him frowning, tears threatening to spill. "It's not you. It's me. You shouldn't have had to see me that way, or experience that, you probably think I'm just a weak human now."

"Not at all," he encouraged, pressing a kiss to your forehead. "I see a beautiful girl who I am so lucky to call my girlfriend. I see a brave, strong, independent woman, who is just having one of those bad days when the world expects too much from her."

You weren't sure how you got so lucky, but staring at his bright eyes, you knew you were safe with Jimin. Slowly, he lifted the damp material of your shirt, helping you to take it off, exchanging it for his fluffy jumper, your personal favorite.

"Now, do you want to tell me what's got you this way? Because whatever it is, I want to help you fix it. Don't pretend you're fine, I know you aren't, and that's okay, we all have times when we just need to cry."

"It's just work, and I've got loads of deadlines to meet which is just becoming unbearable. My boss has got me in all the meetings this week, which quite frankly are just wasting my time, and then he expects me to find the time to babysit these three trainees, who honestly look like they're having the worst time of their life."

He laid quietly and let you ramble, he wanted to know exactly what was bothering you, every fine detail, in order to make things better. Once you were done, he pressed a kiss to your lips, brushing the loose strands of hair out of your face.

"Have you spoken to him? To anyone? Surely this is what human resources is for or something. If no one is listening to you, I'll take it further, it's not fair to put all this pressure on you."

"He's the boss, no one is going to challenge him."

"I will. I don't care who he is, I don't want to come home and see you upset, I want to come home and have you leap into my arms and give me a massive kiss. I won't let you be treated like this, promise me tomorrow this will get resolved, one way or another."

You finally pressed that kiss to his lips, draping your arms around his neck. "I promise it will be sorted, tonight has made me realize I'm only human."

"You're my human, and I love you, I'm going to look after you, no matter what."

"Thank you Jimin, I don't know what I'd do without you," you smiled, kissing him softly, "I love you too."
