How can you spend so much time telling a girl you love her,
Knowing how many other girls you've said it to?
Did you mean it?
Should I even believe you?
You know you've been played when,
one day you mean everything.
The next, you were just another sin,
Kept hidden in the dark.
That's all I was.
You were in love when we were in your car.
Our hands fit together perfectly.
But our love was just a broken star.
Dared me to kiss you.
We were inches away, anyway.
One kiss turned to two,
Almost into a mistake.
But I knew better than to let myself get played.
Not again.
