~That summer I found Charlie was also the summer me and the baseball player moved to New York City so he could start center for the New York Mets at Citi Field in New York City. My daddy is a good baseball player and a nice man to all his fans, but sometimes it's hard for me to think about him as my daddy, because he spends so much time traveling or thinking about how he used to play baseball with his dad or getting ready to play baseball. And so, in my
mind, I think of him as "the baseball player." Before I was born he was Studying sportscasting at the University of Texas in Houston and that's how I
got my first name Jenny because my dad used to listen to Jenny From The Block over and over. But he calls me by my second name, Emily because that was his mother's name. And he loved her a lot.
Anyway, while me and Charlie walked, home I told her how I got my name and I told her how I had just moved to New York City. I also told her about the baseball player and how he was a good man,to all his fan even if he was to distracted with his fans and how good he is charity work and suffering people to go to any baseball games. "But you know what?" I told Charlie. "You are a suffering cat, so maybe he will take to you right away. Maybe he"ll let me keep you." Charlie  looked up at me and wagged her tail. she was kind of limping like something was
wrong with one of her paws. And I have to admit, she stunk. Bad. She was an ugly cat, but already, I loved her with all my heart. when we go to the Friendly Corners Trailer Park. I told Charlie that she had to behave right and be quiet, because this was an all adult trailer Park and the only reason I got to live in it was because the baseball player was baseball star and I was a good quiet kid. I was what the Friendly Corners Trailer Park manager, Mr.Robinson called an exception." And I told Charlie she had to act like an exception, too; specifically, I told her not to pick any fights with Mr. Robinson's dogs or Mrs. Detweller's little yappie Yorkie dog Samuel. Charlie looked up at me while I was telling her everything, and I swear she understood. sit," I told her when we got to my trailer. She sat right down. She had good manners. "Stay here," I told her. I'll bet right back."  The baseball player was sitting in the living room working at the little foldout table. was rubbing his nose, which always means he is thinking. Hard. "Daddy?" I said. "Hmmm," he said back. "Daddy, do you know how you always tell me
that we should help those Less Fortunate then ourselves?"  "Mmmmmm~hmmm," he said . He rubbed his nose and looked around at his papers.
"Well," I said, "I found a Less Fortunate at the supply store."  "Is that right?" he said. Yes sir," I told him. I stared at the baseball player really hard. Sometimes he reminded me of a turtle hiding inside its shell, In there thinking about things and ever sticking his head out into the world  "Daddy. I wad wondering. Could this Less Fortunate, could she stay with us for a while?" Finally the baseball player looked up at me.  "Emily," he said,  "what are you talking about?"  "I found a cat," I told him.  "And I want to keep her." Yes the cat can stay the baseball play said. You do need a friend to talk to." I know I  it."  I said  "I know  I need a car.  Bet his car needs me. Look l," I said l. I went to the trailer door and I hollered," Charlie!" Charlie ears shot up in the air and she grinned and sneezed, and then she came limping up the steps and into the trailer and put his head right the baseball player's lap, right on top of a pile of papers. The baseball player looked at Charlie. He looked at her ribs and matted~up fur and the places where she was bald. The baseball player's nose wrinkled up. Like  I said the cat smelled pretty bad. Charlie looked up at the baseball player She pulled back her lips and showed the baseball player all of her crooked yellow teeth and wagged her tail and knocked some of the baseball player's papers off the table. Then she sneezed and some more papers fluttered to the floor. "What did you call this cat?" the baseball player asked Charlie," I whispered. I was afraid to say anything too loud. I could see what that Charlie was having a good effect on the baseball player. she was mak~ing him poke his head out of his shell.  "Well ," said the baseball player. "She's a stray if I've ever seen one." He put down his pencil and scratched Charlie behind the ear.  "And a Less Fortunate, too. That's for sure. Are you looking for a home?" the baseball play asked real soft, to Charlie.
Charlie wagged her tail. "Well ," the baseball player. "I guess you've found one. Thank you guys for reading chapter two and don't forget to vote & comment honestly also his is a healthy and safe comments no hate please also tell me what you think about chapter two
