Chapter 21

Evie's POV

As me and Ginny raced to the top of the stairs leading to my dorm I obviously won by at least 3 steps, Ginny and I waited at the top of the stairway for Hermi and Luna as they had been sensible and walked up the stairs like civilised people- meanwhile while we waited Ginny and I nearly ended up pushing one another back down the stairs, GINNY STARTED IT THOUGH. Promise it wasn't me

Finally reaching my very empty dorm in four pieces (par some tiny bruises on two of us) I excitedly pulled them into my dorm before doing jazz hands and dropping some giant random blanket over them that I definitely hadn't asked Peeves to help me with earlier... ok thats a lie I did ask for his help but its whatever I promise

Ginny and Hermi both shrieked and then burst out laughing while Luna looked like she had known it was there the entire time- the nargles probably had something to do with it however we all ended up in a fit of laughter for at least 20 minutes since all our stomachs hurt because of how much and how hard we were laughing

Hermi had a severe case of hiccups from all the laughing and I took this as a full opportunity to tease her relentlessly about them until they fizzled out

"Who fed Hermi here a muggle squeaky toy? Because I sure didn't and it sure does sound like she's got one in her throat" I teased smirking as she threw a glare my way as yet another hiccup hit her

"I did not *hiccup* swallow a squeaky *hiccup* toy *hiccup* Evie!" Hermione protested while Luna look around my dorm admiring my dorm not paying any mind to the three of us and Ginny just looked on knowingly at Hermi and I

"Those hiccups are telling us otherwise Hermi dear" my smirk growing ever so slightly as I saw her cheeks flush out of embarrassment

"Shut *hicc* up Evie" I shot a quick glance at Ginny who had been silently watching the whole encounter between me and the lion like Gryffindor, and upon glancing over at her she was silently laughing at us while watching us

I debated my response for a second a quick and simple "make me" would be enough to shut her up- for the rest of the night but I still wanted to tease her and have a similar reaction out of her

"Whatever you say Hermi, I shan't say another word to thou" I teased further dropping my smirk slightly allowing Hermione to see I was being completely honest that I would be quiet so I quickly turned to Ginny and struck up a conversation with her about quidditch and acted as though Hermione wasn't stood there

This sure would get a reaction from her.. if I know Hermi it's that she's no match for my dedication to teasing

Hermione's POV:

She's so mean at times I swear to Merlin! Although it was nice to hear her laughing for a solid amount of time was rather nice, she hasn't visited the Gryffindor common room in a little while and its been so quiet without her visits each evening, I've missed the way her laughter filled the room and how she would have everyone laughing with her for whatever reason she had found to make us all end up in stitches this time.

After Evie had just been teasing me for my squeaky hiccup she was now proceeding to ignore me and is only talking to Ginny - who I had seen looking on at me and looking at the pair of us knowingly yeah..

Anyways back to the issue at hand Evie is annoying me, nothing I would do would be able to get her attention, she was using my words literally. Merlin she can be completely insufferable at times. you can tell she's friends with Malfoy sometimes purely based on the way she acts

I didnt want her to listen to me literally, I just wanted her to stop teasing me about me hiccupping,  and now I'm not sure what I can do to get her to do the opposite of shut up.
