Chapter 22

Evies POV
Eventually Hermione gave up on catching Ginny, and when the redhead saw I wasn't chasing her and was just having a calm conversation with Luna she presumed that I wouldn't do anything... boy was she wrong

"So what are we doing n-" before the younger girl could finish her sentence i lunged forwards jabbing her in the ribs several times before I leant pulled her legs out from underneath her. The look on the poor girls face was priceless and I couldn't help myself but laugh before I eventually had to use Hermione as a leaning post because I was laughing so hard.

"Well Gin you had it coming for you" The brunette next to me said smugly not yet noticing that I lowly stopped laughing and has snaked my arm around her waist

The redhead who was now stood in-front of us looking very defeated whispered to nobody in particular "well if your going to act like you two didn't have a mini makeout session so be it.."

"We never did finish off that game of truth or dare did we?" Luna asked smiling at the scene infront of her

Eventually we all grew tired and since nobody was in my dorm everyone had the option of staying in their bed or camping out on the floor, none of them had to stay and I made sure that they all knew that they could leave anytime they want, they all chose to stay which made my heart feel warm.

Everyone got ready for bed and chose a bed or spot on the floor to camp out, Ginny took the bed in the corner since it was a spare anyways, Luna brought her own blankets and pillows and decided to sleep near Ginny on the floor, Mione however couldn't decide where she wanted to sleep before eventually deciding on the floor next to my bed

We stayed up later than Gin and Luna who were out like lights, I felt bad that Hermione was sleeping on the floor, she didn't exactly bring the warmest blanket or the cosiest pyjamas

"Hey Mione?"

"What's up Evie" Hermione looked up at me from the ground

"You know if you want to, take one off the beds that's ok, your not exactly going to be the comfiest down there and you don't exactly have the warmest blanket and pjs..." I trailed of a bit not knowing how she would react

"I'm ok really, the beds are nice but they're a bit far from you so I'll be ok on the floor" I nodded my head and pondered for a bit before standing up and walking into my wardrobe without another word

"Evie? What are you doing?" Hermione looked so confused as her eyes followed me from my bed to the wardrobe we had been shoved into

Her eyes never left me as I walked out with a dark green hoodie that had some splits in the fabric around the wrists and a few small holes near the hood, it was my favourite so it was a bit worn out and I refuse to get rid of it or replace it .

"Why don't you take my bed for the night and you can put this on, it's a little bit worn out but it's really warm and it's comfy, it'll keep you nice and cozy" I shoved the hoodie into Hermione reach standing awkwardly infront of her when she didn't respond

The longer she didn't respond the more nervous and awkward I felt, why wasn't she replying?

"Umm earth to Mione? Cat got your tongue?" I joked hoping to make myself feel better

"Sorry I was just shocked I suppose, it's your favourite hoodie but you want me to wear it? And I couldn't possibly take your bed! It's yours and I'm sure I can survive one night on the floor"

"Please just take it you look so cold on the floor, and yes take my bed it's a big bed and you'll be really comfortable, it's better than the floor" I spoke quickly, I knew the brunette wouldn't take either of the things I offered her so I threw the hoodie at her

"Evie I can't just take your clothes, especially not your favourite one. I also can't take your bed" Mione went to hand my hoodie back to me which I took back before opening it up at the bottom and putting it on over Hermione and while she looks surprised because she couldn't actually see anything I quickly went to scoop her up and plop her onto my bed and went back into my wardrobe to get a second hoodie as I was starting to feel a bit chilly

When I came back out I saw Mione getting comfortable on my bed with the hood of my hoodie up snuggling into it
"See I told you it was warm and comfy" I said quietly making her jump slightly

"You were right about that Evie" she said as she wrapped her arms around herself sighing in content, just as I made a move to settle down on the floor Hermione launched herself at me grabbing my arm and attempting to pull me onto the bed aswell "if your going to make me sleep on this bed you might aswell stay in it too! You said yourself the floor isn't as comfortable as the bed and it's sure as hell not warm enough"

"But your staying in it, I don't want to make you uncomfortable somehow lion" before I can protest further Hermione makes one last pull on my arm catching my off guard and sends me tumbling into her. "Now now Hermione I've already fallen for you once no need to make me do it again" I joked making Hermione blush and smile
Hermione jokingly pushes me away from her clearly flustered by this whole thing

"Hey, now that's just not fair is it Lion, you were the one who pulled me in" I said as I lightly pulled her shoulders towards me deepening her blush ever so slightly

"Shut up and let's go to sleep"Hermione mumbled making herself comfortable
"Goodnight Evie" she tiredly mumbled

"Goodnight Mione" Something inside me didn't want to fall asleep just yet even after I had pulled my hood up and was close to Hermione, the girl drives me crazy in the best way possible, she's smart in ways that nobody ever could be she's so happy and there's just something about her laugh and smile that it makes my heart swell and when she kissed me it made my stomach feel weird, it's what Draco describes when he talked to me about Harry, butterflies I think he called them and with that I decided to just let my mind wander.

Until I got interrupted by a deep sigh and sometimes touching my shoulder, it was Mione, the hood of my hoodie was starting to slip back because it was too big and she hadn't pulled it all the way up, her hair looked like it was trying to crawl out of the hood and was sprawled across her face, her hand gently tucked under her chin holding onto my shoulder, I could get used to this. I really wanted to get used to this...

I gazed gently at her for a few moments soaking up the sight in front of me before I brushed a strand of curly hair out of her face and tucked it back under the hood, I love her hair but it was ruining my view just a tad, i ghosted my hand over her jawline before she caught me off guard moving herself closer into me, her head placed securely on my shoulder her arm reaching out and wrapping itself around my mid section as she snuggled herself in closer to me. I couldn't help but smile and cautiously wrapped my arms around her waist being too tired now to fully notice what I was doing and I ghosted a kiss on her forehead not wanting to disturb her in her slumber.

And with that I placed my head on top of hers as she further snuggled herself into me, my stomach doing that weird thing again and before I knew it I fell asleep, holding the girl I liked so dearly in my arms praying this wasn't another dream, hoping that this was my reality.
