Twenty-eighth Letter

Luck

Travis arrives in our room after midnight. I believe they've completed their final run of rehearsals for tomorrow's concert. The managers simply wanted me to rest because they thought the day would be too much for me. Nahiga lamang siya sa tabi ko at marahan akong niyakap. I felt his smile on my cheek as he kissed me goodnight. Maaga akong gumising para makapaghanda na rin sa mangyayari ngayong araw. I'm still a part of their team as their manager, so I need to fill in what Annie does when they have a concert like this. 

Tulog pa si Travis noong naligo at nag-ayos ako. I simply wear a white polo and jeans, hinayaan kong bukas ang dalawang botones ng top ko. I get my beige blazer and boots. Pinili ko lamang ang hindi kataasang heels noon dahil maniguradong tatakbo ako mamaya. I curl my hair and get some make-up down. After I'm done with my look I go straight down to the lobby. Naroon na agad ang mga managers at iba pang crew. They both looked surprised as they stood there watching me. I smiled and greeted them. 

"Maggie, this is their final scheduled before the concert," manager Kiro gave me the schedule.

It's already 7 a.m., and I've already made a few phone calls and read some important documents in front of me. Inutusan ko na rin na gisingin ang lima. They will be late again if they move so slow. 

When they all arrive, I'm eating sandwiches and drinking coffee. They all appeared to be well-dressed and ready to go. I saw some hotel employees pinching and laughing with one another. Their impact and charisma are undeniable. I smirk, Travis and I exchange glances, and I give him a grin, but he ignores me and continues talking to Sebastian. Marahan akong tumawa, maybe he didn't like that I left him and did not bother to wake him up. 

Pagkatapos kong kumain ay nagpunta na ako sa kanila. I felt intimidated by the way he's looking at me. Hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa rin ako sanay na titigan niya ng ganito. I heard Zi and Kai whistle and laugh, tsaka lamang ako naging kalmado. Umiling ako, maybe they tease him again. 

"Good morning," I cleared my throat and continue. "I suggest you guys eat first since you don't have a free schedule this afternoon."

"Kanina ka pa ba dito, Maggie?" Zillion asked. May kaunting ngiti sa labi.

"Yes. I need to do some calls and clear the schedule for all of you. Bakit?"

"Wala lang, late na kasi kaming natapos sa practice kagabi. We are still sleepy, I thought you sleep late too and you will be late today.. so" Kai tries to sound concerned pero naririnig pa rin ang pang-aasar doon. He looked at Travis too.

"I'm aware. Maaga naman akong natulog. Travis went to bed late, but I believe we both got a good night's sleep. Hindi ko naman siya inistorbo. That's why I didn't bother waking him up until this morning and instead let him sleep."

Hindi ko maintindihan pero bigla na lamang silang tumawa doon. Dominic smiles a little and hits Kai's head. Umiling na lamang ako, maging si Sebastian ay bahagya rin tumawa. Travis didn't smile at me though. Kaya naman hinila ko siya noong naglalakad papunta sa restaurant ng hotel ang mga ito. Nagpahuli kaming dalawa. The four of them are still laughing.
