Upon entering, a youthful figure stood a few chǐ(1) away from the scene, brandishing the sword that had halted the brewing dispute. It was none other than the renowned young master of the Xuemen Fu Sect, Fu Xiu, famed for his remarkable achievements at the tender age of sixteen.

Both feuding disciples froze, their attention turning to the owner of the intervening sword.Fu Xiu's deep voice resonated, "Cease this instant if you wish to avoid the wrath of Shizun."

One of the bickering disciples responded nonchalantly, "Oh, Young Master Fu! It's been a while... Come now, we're safe. Shizun isn't present at the moment, and surely you won't bother summoning him just for our punishment, will you?"

Annoyance clouded Fu Xiu's expression as he shook his head.

Meanwhile, Fu Qingyan commented quietly, "Ah, Xiao Lian never ceases to be a troublemaker, does he?"

The other combatant, after hearing the mention of Shizun, sheathed his sword.

Xiao Lian teased, "Eh? Is the fiery young mistress 'Ying Yue' afraid of Shizun?"

Ying Yue's face flushed with anger. His fellow disciples from his sect, equally infuriated, retorted, "Xiao Lian, who do you think you are? How dare you refer to Young Master Ying as a hot-tempered mistress? You're asking for trouble!"

Xiao Lian sneered and broke into laughter. "Can any of you even lay a finger on me?"

Despite Fu Xiu's repeated attempts to defuse the situation, the disciples ignored his warnings. Chaos engulfed the scene, while Hua Qingling watched in fascination.

Hua Qingling thought, 'This is quite interesting. I never imagined witnessing such a dynamic clash between the young masters of these renowned sects.'

Suddenly, she sensed the presence of someone beside her. Fu Qingyan, too, cast her gaze towards the newcomer, her eyes widening as she stammered, "Sh-S-Shizun!?"

In an instant, Xiao Lian and Ying Yue were hurled aside by a surge of spiritual power. They glanced up after their fall, freezing upon seeing shizun standing before them, his stern gaze piercing through them. With swift efficiency, he grasped both of them by the collar and dragged them away from the chaotic scene.

Fu Xiu let out a resigned sigh and turned to leave. The other disciples who had accompanied the quarreling duo remained motionless, struck by the turn of events.

Hua Qingling pondered, 'What's happening here?'

Turning to Fu Qingyan, she inquired about the situation.

Fu Qingyan grasped Hua Qingling's hand, guiding her away from the commotion. She sighed and explained, "Oh, don't even ask... These two are like sworn enemies, stemming from an incident during a previous night hunt a few years ago. They've never reconciled since. Every time they cross paths, trouble brews. Both Xiao Lian and Ying Yue are incredibly arrogant and self-assured. And they're both a constant headache for Shizun. He places utmost importance on discipline and can barely tolerate them. Xiao Lian, especially, remains unruffled, even after narrowly escaping the brink of death following Shizun's punishment."
