"koji, bud, please."

y/n approached the crying boy
with concern in her eyes. she
looked from the boy up to his
father, meeting piercing ocean
blue colored eyes that belonged
to a very attractive man.

"hi! i'm y/n! what's wrong?"

???
"akaashi keiji; and uh, he won't get
into the pool."

the man frowned. y/n pursed her
lips before crouching down to be
at the young boy's level.

"hey buddy!"

the little boy looked up at her with
puffy red eyes and a runny nose.

"what's your name?"

"koji."

the little boy sniffled and y/n
pulled out a small pack of tissues
from her rescue pack, handing him
one. he took it and dried his eyes.

"nice to meet you, koji. i'm l/n y/n,
but you can just call me y/n."

she pointed to her name tag attached
to her shirt that read:
TOKYO UNI. REC DEPT. | y/n :)

a small smiley face was drawn next
to her name and the boy smiled a little
as he reached out and poked it.

"so, what's wrong, hun?"

y/n softly and slowly spoke, turning
her head quickly to confirm that kids
hadn't entered the pool yet.

akaashi koji
"i'm scared."

y/n frowned.

"scared? of what, bud?"

akaashi koji
"i'm scared of drowning."

y/n nodded patiently.

"well, did you know that taking
swim lessons will help you so
that you won't drown when you're
in the water?"

the boy sniffled, bringing the tissue
back up to his face.

akaashi koji
"but i don't know how to swim."

y/n chuckled a little.

"well that's what'cher here for, isn't
it?"

koji sniffled again, but tears no longer
flooded from his eyes.

akaashi koji
"yeah... i guess so."
