📍𝗍𝗈𝗄𝗒𝗈 𝗎𝗇𝗂𝗏𝖾𝗋𝗌𝗂𝗍𝗒
𝗋𝖾𝖼𝗋𝖾𝖺𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇 𝖼𝖾𝗇𝗍𝖾𝗋 𝗉𝗈𝗈𝗅 𝖺𝗋𝖾𝖺
𝗆𝗈𝗇𝖽𝖺𝗒, 𝗇𝗈𝗏𝖾𝗆𝖻𝖾𝗋 𝟦𝗍𝗁, 𝟨:𝟣𝟫𝗉𝗆

y/n was in the process of pacing
the pool area, picking up trash and
other random items that laid on the
deck as two lap swimmers swam in
the pool. it was a pretty slow day,
a water fitness class had just ended
at 6 and she knew that after that
no one would really come in.

it's not that she didn't mind when
it was slow. in fact, if no one was
in the pool area at all she could sit
and read to spend time during the
shift. it's just that watching only
two people swim back and forth
over and over grew incredibly
boring, no matter how much she
liked the job.

she placed the trash from the deck
into a trash can and sanitized her
hands, not knowing much else to
do. she headed back to the guard
chair, stopping to mess with the
radio that was broken to the point
where it only played 80s music.

someone would fix it one day, she
always thought, but no one ever would.

the door to the pool deck opened
behind her as she walked to her
chair.

akaashi koji
"Y/N!"

akaashi koji
"Y/N Y/N Y/N Y/N!"

y/n whipped around to see the
sweetheart of a boy that she met
last saturday and smiled brightly.

the boy was holding onto his
father's hand, and seeing them side
by side only highlighted how similar
they looked. koji really was his
father's mini-me.

"koji buddy!!"

"did you come to visit me?"

the two akaashi's approached y/n
who leaned against the low chair
on the deck. she grinned at the boy
and then looked up to his father.

"hi there."

akaashi keiji
"hey."

the man spoke breathlessly as
she gave the elder akaashi a wide
smile as a greeting before being
knocked back a little. her eyes
widened as she looked down, a
small laugh escaping her lips when
she saw that koji was clinging
onto her for dear life.

akaashi keiji
"koji, buddy..."

akaashi koji
"i missed you!"

y/n smiled, lifting the boy's small
arms off of her and placing them to
his sides before crouching down to
meet his level.

"did you have a good weekend?"

the young boy nodded excitedly.

akaashi koji
"yeah! uncle kou took me to the
arcade, and i got this really big
owl stuffed animal!"

akaashi koji
"like, REALLY big! tell her daddy!"

akaashi chuckled at his son, patting
his head endearingly.

akaashi keiji
"it's taller than he is."
