Damon POV I messed up. I really fucking messed up. I don't wanna admit it but I did I stupidly fed Elena my blood out of fear of loosing her I was selfish and now there nothing I can do to fix it. I just hope that when we get pup back he'll u understand why I did it , no I know he will he always understands. I was so lost one thought so didn't even realise the rock had sat next to me until he cleared he throat "Eh-hem" "I messed up" I admitted to him "Yeh you did" he said and I groaned "Gentlemen" a British voice sounded form behind me "Uh klaus I presume" I said rolling my eyes "In the flesh" he said then looked at Rick and continued "thanks for the loaner mate" he said looking over to Rick pissing me of . "Any reason why you stoped by to say hi" I asked "I just can't to make sure you didn't do anything stupid I'm told that you and your brother fancy my doppelgänger" he said "Ha - You don't think I can talk you in to a postponement do you" I asked already knowing the answer "You kidding" he said looking at me in slight disbelief then gave the same look to rick " he's kidding right" Rich shook his head no and klaus looked at me with a smug look on his face "let me make this clear . I have my werewolf. I have my vampire. And I have my doppelgänger. This will happen tonight and if anyone is to get in my way well they will be disposed of" he said making the threat clear in his voice he then turned around but Just as he was about to leave . I stopped him. "Where is he" I asked trying not to let the worry in my voice show "Where's who he" said with a smirk playing dumb to get on my nerves which he was successful in . "You know who Where the hell is pup" I asked again showing how annoyed I was with the look I sent him . "I don't see how that any of your business" "He my best friend that makes it my business and I don't feel comfortable with him being held hostage by you . He need to be with me and his friend the people who won't hurt him" "Let me make a few things clear damon. I would never . Never. Touch him in a way he doesn't like or harm a hair on his head. He's my mate and I'd rather cut of my own hands than lay a violent one on him." And with that he left
I stood there shocked about what he said . Mate? What the fuck does he mean . There's no way someone like him could be the mate of someone as kind and innocent as pup. I have to tell the others. But later right now I have something to do. I go back to Rick. That was fun "Your gonna mess it up aren't you" Rick said already knowing the answer "You think if I took his werewolf out of the equation she might get over the fact that I tried to turn her into a vampire " my smirk growing as I finish my sentence. "It won't matter because you'll be dead" he explains "But without the werewolf he can't preform the ritual which mean I would of bought her one month before the nest full moon" I explained back. Doesn't he understand that I'm smarter than I look like if I can deal with hero hair Stefan I can deal with anything:)
"And you'll still be dead" he said with no faith in my at all (🙄) "you gonna help me or what" I asked finally getting to the point He sighed and looked at me "What do you want me to do" I smirk and tell him the plan.
Time skip to ricks apartment
No ones POV
Katherine was going through the fridge looking for blood when she heard the door open and quickly got up only to see it was Rick "Look who's dumb enough to come back" kat said looking at the man that stood before her as if he was the stupidest person she had ever met . "Well , someone had to invite him in." Rick replied making the vampire give him a confused look before he nodded to Damon who walk next to him "Damon you like to uh come in?" Her look changed to a slightly panicked one as Damon set foot in to the apartment as soon as he was in she ran at him only for him to push her away. "Are you trying to get me killed?" She said pissed of glaring at him . Damon quickly pushed her to the wall pinning her there "I gave you vervain and I'm her to collect. I got it from her Rick" he replied "You sure ?" Rick asked clearly unsure with the plan "Yeh only one of us need to get blamed for this get back to the house. Keep Elena from handing herself over" Damon told his best friend knowing what the Gilbert girl would do. Katherine then pushed him of her and spoke with curiosity. "Get blamed for what ?" Kat asked with a lift of her brow. "I need to know where klaus is keeping his werewolf" the raven haired male said to the lookalike. "Why? What are you gonna do?" Katherine asked knowing that he was up to no good. "A dead werewolf equals no ritual" Damon explains "No you can't interfere Damon klaus will kill you and everyone you ever met" the older of the two said "I just need to delay this thing" "No. no way" kat said the paint sinking in more "You should like this . It's gonna buy i their month of your pathetic life" "Right. Except that I'm not the vampire he's planning on sacrificing" the female explained with a smirk making its way ok to her face. "What" Damon was clearly confused "Yeah he's got Caroline Forbes and Tyler Lockwood therefore I'm in the clear" she said with a smirk.
"And where did get that idea from" He said Walking threateningly up to her at she backed up "Hey I'm just trying to stay alive long enough to get myself out of here" she explained as Damon sighs looking annoyed "What if I told you that elena had vampire blood in her system?" His annoyed look quickly became cocky as he told her "What!" She questioned posses off "Imagine how much fin that'll be competing with Elena for Stefan's love for I don't know, forever" he said exaggerating his words "The tomb, he's got them in the tomb" she explained despite knowing what could happened to her. "Now where is he" Damon asked knowing he didn't need to tell her who 'he' was "Klaus took him somewhere I don't know where though" she explained just as worried for the boy as Damon was And with that he left with a pain in his chest from the worry, but right now he had to focus on saving blondie and wolf boy.
Pups pov When klaus had gotten back he had gotten changed and lead to to his car saying we where going somewhere and that it was a surprise. What I didn't expect was a hat he would take me to a art gallery. It was filled with the most beautiful paintings each one different and unique in there own way, yet as we walked through the gallery one in particular caught my attention. I couldn't seem to take my eyes of it. "What is it love?" Klaus asked clearly seeing how my attention was diverted from our conversation "Who painted this?" I asked curiosity eating at me "I did, do you like it" he explained surprising me. I turned to him with slight worry in my eyes. "What happened?" "What do you mean love?" He asked with slight shock on his face "You where hurt when you painted it not physically but emotionally what happened" I said as I looked in his eyes
No ones pov Klaus stood there shock evident on his face, how could this boy be more perfect. Not only was he kind and caring but he loved art aswell and was somehow able to tell that he had hurt so bad just by seeing one of his art pieces "You get all that form a painting" the soon to be hybrid says as a sigh fell from his lips "Yes, it's not hard to miss especially with the colours you have used and the way that you can still some of the ways your brush stroked the canvas harshly. Yet it isn't in a angered way, more like you've tried to hide you pain behind false anger" the young Gilbert explains there eyes never loosing contact "Your right, I was hurt me and and family had had another run in with my father and after my sister lost someone she cared for because of it. We all did and after a day or two we argue things where said and thrown mainly at me but we sorted it out. Before we did I wanted to calm down and so I painted this. And I must say you do have an eye for art" as klaus finished his short story he looked up to see his little mate looking at him with nothing but care and understanding i his kind brown eyes and he felt his heart skip a beat. Never had someone shown such compassion for him in the way this boy does and he loves it. He'll be damed if anyone tries to harm his mate. Not when he's shown time and time again that he is to good for this earth.
The rest of there time together they learnt as much as they could about the other telling story's of the past and hopes for the future and without knowing but at some point their hands had clasped together as they walked back to the car. Ok the way back they talked more until the vampire heard the slowed heart beat of the human boy, looking over he saw the boy had fallen asleep and so when they got back he picked him up and later him in his bed with a kill on his cheek and a wishes of a lovey dream.
