A knock sounded throughout the room, breaking Hermione from her concentration. Her war senses were tingling when she felt that there was a magical on the other side of the door. She was about to draw her wand when she recognized the magic and relaxed.

She walked over to the door and opened it, retreating back to her chair without a word, the argument lingering on the surface of her mind.

Luna closed the door behind her and sighed silently, knowing that Hermione wasn't up for talking as of the moment.

She walked to her room to let Hermione have her time to delve into her thoughts.

Hermione watched Luna walk away out of the corner of her eye, leaving her in silence. She was tempted to go and talk to Luna, but she found the book in her hands far more interesting than the conversation she knew would pop up.

She's read this book a couple of times but this time she was reading for a specific detail that wasn't in the soulmate department.

She didn't realize how long she was reading for until she noticed that there was no more light coming from the window. She looked around the room only to see the lamp next to her turned on.

She yawned, still a bit tired from using her magic today even though she was still healing. Memorizing the page number she was on, she closed the thick book and placed it on the glass coffee table in front of her.

She stood up and stretched her stiff muscles out. Turning off the lamp the brunette went over to her room to get ready for bed.

After brushing her teeth and got dressed for bed, she got into her soft mattress and fell asleep from exhaustion.

Screamed echoed through the dark hallways down to the dungeons. The blood-curdling screams overpowered the yelling and crying from the dungeons. The cries and pleads from the imprisoned males went unheard.

"Where is it?!" The screech sent shivers down everybody's spine.

"I don't know." A loud sob. "I didn't take it." The repeated pleads were still ignored.

More earth-shattering screams sounded throughout the large mansion.

Hermione woke up in a panic, sitting up instantly and looking around her room for danger. Her frantic eyes locked on the door when it busted open and a frazzled blonde ran through the door.

Hermione immediately grabbed her wand from under her pillow and pointed it at the intruder.

"Don't move!" Her mind couldn't focus on the familiar face, but she couldn't risk letting her guard down.

"Hermione..." They whispered. The voice sounded so familiar...

A splitting headache ripped through her. She groaned as she fell to her knees and clutched one of her hands on her head, but still keeping a shaky wand pointed at the other occupant of the room. Her vision was blurry as the pain increased.

The blonde woman ran up to her, ignoring the consequences, and lifted up Hermione's chin so she could face her.

Hermione stiffened and tried to cast a spell, but she was too weak. She cursed herself internally when her head was being lifted.

A familiar face got into view, but her mind still couldn't comprehend what was going around her and she couldn't put a name to the face.

She crawled backwards to get away from the woman, not ready for what was going to happen next. Her headache became even more painful, forcing her to have double vision.
