Was Elina really a wingless fairy or one of the first humans?

One of the biggest things about Elina in Barbie: Fairytopia is that for most of the movie (I'm talking about the first one), she appears to be the only fairy without wings, earning the title of a wingless fairy. However, after defeating Laverna the first of three times, the Enchantress gives her a crystal necklace (could this prove that Shimmervale is in Fairytopia as one of the seven regions?), giving her the wings she's always dreamed of, and I'm assuming that if the necklace is off her neck at any given time or is broken, she reverts back to her wingless self. Which begs me to ask:

Was Elina really a wingless fairy, or was she one of the first humans in the fictional universe?

After all, us humans could be considered wingless fairies as well.

However, in order for the timeline, especially the Barbie Cinematic Universe timeline to work, Elina had to have descendants or something for the wingless fairy/human race to begin. Which means that there had to have been other wingless fairies, only they weren't as well known because they didn't defeat Laverna three times in a row. So, if my timeline is correct, then Elina and a male wingless fairy got together, fell in love, got married, and had a child... another wingless fairy, also known as Annika, therefore leading to the rest of the timeline.

So yeah. I believe that Elina was one of the first known humans in the fictional universe.
