Jo's pov

Brian has been obsessed with this little family trip for months now. It's really difficult to have time for vacations when both you and your husband are doctors. Of course we get days off from time to time but we end up not having the energy to plan anything out.

  - Jo, have you even started packing yet? - he says while looking at me laying on the couch

  - Not really, but it looks like you have done it for all four of us. You do know that will only be gone for a week right?  - I asked clearly making fun of him

  - I do know that. But what I also know that we have two small children that will remember that they want some random toy they left home while we are pulling to the driveway, and I am not coming back because of it. - Brian talked back to me

  - You got a point... - I agreed realizing he was completely right - I'm just happy that we have this week for ourselves, away from hospitals and OR's. Just you, me and the kids.

  - Oh wow. That coming from a surgery junkie like you, it must be really mean a lot. - he jokes making me sit down on the couch

  -  I am NOT a surgery junkie! I am seriously offended! I am a person that enjoys her work and knows exactly the right amount of hours in the OR.

  - Jo you managed to perform a surgery on the same day that you had Olivia, and almost went in labor in the middle of it.

  -  I hate when you are right. Did you know that?

  - I am aware of that. - he told me while leaning in to a quick peck on the lips

I really did hate it when he was right, especially because it seemed like it was all the time. Brian always made me see both sides of the story, what was kind of annoying at times but it was also what made him so amazing. He cared. In fact he cared about everything and everyone what never failed to amaze me.

Just has i was about to join him in the horrible chore that it is packing, Luna came into the living room still holding her night blanket after her afternoon nap and sat between us. Brian threw me his iconic playful mad look, knowing that this was the perfect excuse for me to delay packing my bag a little bit longer.
