NORA'S POV

The next morning,I had my bath pretty early and started on my way to the bus park,I didn't want to miss the bus,tessa and mercy went with me to the park.

"call when you get there okay" tessa said while she hugged me

"be safe o" mercy added

"awww" I teased them didn't know you cared this much

"shut up"mercy deadpanned,

"group hug" tessa squealed

we hugged and parted ways,I got my bus ticket and seated myself by the window,I love the feel of the wind on my face when the vehicle moves,I really do love roadtrips...I had prepared my playlist already,some sam Smith would really soothe my soul.

The bus got filled up,and soon we were on our way,10 mintues in,a man starts praying and clapping at the back,he pray for journey mercies and I join in saying amen.

I watched a movie on my phone,she is in love with a gangster...I absolutely love the movie,but most importantly I love the actors,they're a real life couple and they've been dating since they were 16...they met on set! goalsssss,I want that kinda love for myself.

the trip is about 5 hours 30minutes...nate and eseosa were gonna be waiting for me at the bus park,cause I have no idea where to go in Lagos,I'd be clueless...

I listened to the banter going on around the bus,the kidnappings,the boko haram amnesty,the pastor that stole his member's wife,the girlfriend that poisoned the boyfriend for talking to another girl,the rituals...omo naija which way na...

We stopped at a restuarant in ijebu ode for breakfast...lunch or brunch,whichever works for you,I got chicken pies and a soda,and then I used the bathroom, when I got back to the bus,there was no one here,seems everyone was taking their sweet time,I took my seat,and plugged in my earphone,lagos wasn't so far away I decided to call eseosa and tell her I was close,she picked up instantly

"wow someone's eager" I greeted her

"mumu where are you?"

"relax" I say while I bite into my pie "I'm at ijebu ode" I continued

"oh okay,call us when you get to Lagos,I mean when you see the statue of the three men,we'll meet you up,be safe o"

"okay,e be tinss"

By now the bus was full and we continued on our way,we past dozens of police check points,and our driver kept giving the police money...someone shout corruption! well I don't really give two flips just as long as I get to where I am going safe and sound,it takes a little longer than I anticipated but I soon see the statue ese talked about,with the WELCOME TO LAGOS sign,I gave her a call,she said they were on her way,I had no clue what they meant...they as in she and my brother,or they as in she and nate or they as in all three of them?

soon passengers start alighting the vehicle...it was past 1pm now,so much for leaving early.can I just say lagos is rowdy as hell,no wonder it's the most populous city in Africa,I felt like everyone in the country was in Lagos,everyone was constantly on the move,we took alot of turns and bends,and I think we finally arrived,I could see a similar park like the one in benin,the rest of us that didn't disembark on the way alighted the vehicle,I went to the back to claim my luggage from the boot of the bus.

As if on cue a couple of shirtless sweaty boys,came up to me,insisting on helping me carry my bag and getting me a taxi,I was dragging my box and insisting I was fine on my own
who be all these ones bayi

one particular boy was insistent and had almost dragged my luggage when a hand stopped him,I was a sweaty mess,I looked up and nate was taking my bag back,he looked pissed,the boy apologised

"bros nor vex I nor know say she be your babe" and he walked away

I just stood there stunned like a moron,
"won't you say hi to your savior" he smirked

I was still dazed,nate moved to hug me,and I sniffed him,weird I know,its just a habit,his scent hasn't changed,God I missed him,and so I wrapped my hand around his torso
"I missed you"I whispered
"you're welcome" he released me and smiled
I half smile "idiot"
"where's ese,she said she'd meet me here"
"oh she's just getting a cab for us,let's go"
he takes my hand and guides me out of the park while holding my luggage in his other hand
he leads me to a seat while we wait,our hands joined together and clammy from sweat
"I missed you too so damm much" he said  lowly
"eh?" I asked
"you're a deaf person" he scoffed
"I'm glad you came"
I smiled.

A car pulled up and ese came running out,I jump up and we hug while squealing,nate just by passed us and got in with my luggage
"bitch I missed youu" ese shouted and laughed
"I missed you too bitchhhh"I shouted back
"are you guys done?" nate asks from the car,he looked amused
"shut up nate" ese fired at him
we got in the cab and drove off,it took another hour to get to Nate's uncle's estate,due to traffic,how do my friends survive with this terrible traffic? it was horrible I can't lie
"guy your uncle Is loaded" I say when we step into the house
nate just laughed
"big head!" someone shouted from inside the house "you're here"!
I know that voice.."Edosa"!
"mumuuuu" I said running towards him we met half way and we hugged,I did miss my brother.
I had a good feeling about Lagos.
