Renjun was sipping from some blood he found in the fridge. He was walking around the ground floor of the house, thinking what he should do. He was alone in this, but he wanted to kill the queen as much as Jeno did. Maybe suddenly breaking their trust was wrong, but he wasn't going to regret anything. Donghyuck's words came back in his mind. Why did he have to kill her? He really had no answer except for the fact that he wanted to kill a fucking royal. Was it that hard to understand? Maybe. Or maybe he was so different from others that they didn't understand him. But Jeno would. He would understand his desire to kill a royal blooded vampire. He couldn't kill the king that time, but he wasn't going to fail for the second time.

The blonde haired vampire stopped in the middle of the kitchen when he heard a sudden sound coming from upstairs. Was someone else inside that house? From what he remembered, he was the only living creature there, but maybe he was wrong. The deaf sound of footsteps coming downstairs made him flinch and grab a random bread knife. He listened closely, trying to make sure where the stranger was and when he heard him entering the living room, he glued his back on the wall so he wouldn't be seen.

"Where the fuck is he?" The familiar voice that asked made Renjun sigh in relief and put the knife on the counter from where he took it earlier.

"What the hell are you doing here?" The blonde haired stepped out of his hiding place and leaned by the doorframe with his arms crossed over his chest. He was actually curious. "I thought you went to help Jeno."

Donghyuck glared at him before he approached him. For the first time in a while, Renjun couldn't read his emotions. Was he angry or frustrated? The younger stopped really close to him as a matter of fact, which confused the vampire.

"I went to tell him I'll help you." The vampire spoke and out of nowhere, his features softened as if he felt bad about something. He looked away from Renjun, to the floor for a few seconds before his dark eyes met his again. "So, what's the plan?" When he asked, he finally looked interested and an excited smile formed his lips as he took the cup of blood from Renjun's pale hand. He took a small sip from the drink before looking very disgusted. "This is old."

"How old?" Renjun asked back. He hoped he didn't just drink something that would make his stomach ache.

"At least one year." The blonde haired replied and placed it on a self from the wide library. "How the hell can't you make a difference?"

Renjun gave him a glare before walking back inside the kitchen to pour himself some water. If he had to admit it, the blood he drank tasted pretty good so he didn't realize it. But it didn't matter what he drank in that moment. What mattered was what will he do to kill the queen. The vampire sat down at the island from the middle of the kitchen, with the glass of water in front of him.

"Sit." He urged his friend who was still standing by the doorframe.

"You have no plan, right?" Donghyuck asked when he was seated across from him, arms crossed over his chest.

"It's not actually a plan, but you can call it that as well." His response made the younger sigh in frustration. "What?"

"You can't be serious." Donghyuck exclaimed and leaned forward until his elbows were touching the table. "We need to make sure we won't be killed there and you know it. You can't die and neither can I."

"What do you mean?" His statement made the vampire confused. They had Jeno who could bring them back to life if something like that happened, so why would they be concerned? But maybe he meant it because the prince might not help them.  Yeah, that must be the reason.

"Jeno can't bring someone back twice. He can only bring someone once. You died already and was brought back to life and I did too." Renjun frowned. He never knew that his best friend died, because Donghyuck never mentioned such thing. "Shocking, I know." He then chuckled bitterly. "He accidentally killed me once when we were kids. He then cried for a week because he didn't want to kill me, but his claws suddenly appeared and he slit my throat with it. When you're seven, your powers aren't strong, so you can't heal."
