Rose POV

"What happened?" I asked getting the first aid kit that was in the office

"I came home from shopping and went to our room after unpacking I was c-coming to m-meet you when Marie and j-john saw me, that-they were drunk, they started to kick me in m-my s-stomach saying h-how you a-always are there to pro-protect me now y-you aren't," she said and I was crying too

"It hurts mom make it stop please" she sobbed

"I am so sorry Em I should have been with you instead of working extra shift I am so, so, so sorry," I said treating her wounds

"Emmy owiee?" Noah asked hugging her hand he was crying too

"No problem Noah your sister is super-strong... ouch" she replied

"Sorry," I said and treating the wounds slower

"Oh my god, Emma what happened? Move let me take care of her I am an experienced nurse" Mia said and started to clean her wounds and stitching her shoulder

"We are leaving," I said out of the blue

"Huh?" both Emma and Mia said

"We are leaving town, I can't let them hurt you Em it's ok if that was me but I can't see you in that pain, we are leaving today," I said

"Who hurt you?" Mia asked

"Our parents" Emma replied

"Then why don't you report it?" Mia asked

"If we report it, we go to social care and then we split up. I don't trust the foster system and Noah is just a kid" I replied kissing Noah's forehead

"Alright kids I won't force you," Mia said

"Rose I need to talk to you can you come," Mia said pointing towards an isolated section with a nod of head I went to her

"Here," she said giving me a brown envelop of money "it's your salary and a bit extra for your hard work don't you dare deny it it's for your work" she continued

"Thank you, Mia," I said taking money from her and was about to leave when she grabbed my hand and put $500 in my hand

"Mia what is this for you already gave me my salary I can't take this..."

"Just take it please, I always see you as my daughter if in these two years of working for me if you once taught of me as your mother take this and you are leaving today, aren't you? I don't know when I will see you, so let me give you this as you need some financial help to start your new life

I know you will be able to earn and feed them well but you need some money to travel and start so please take it" she said hugging me

"Thank you, Mia, thank you," I said wincing as she hugged a bit too tight and it hurt from my morning beatings

"Oww that hurt back off please," I said and she immediately broke the hug

"Do I need to check you?" she asked

"No, I am going back to the house to pack all the things can you look after Emma and Noah till that time I can't risk taking them back there," I said

"of course, dear take care, ok?" she asked I nod and we went back where Noah was poking Emma's nose

"Noah, why are you poking her nose baby?" I ask

"Emmy ook I ooze" he replied pouting

I took his hand and placed it on his nose "here see your nose is with you only now stop abusing Emma's nose" I said and he gasped feeling his nose with his two hands
