33 | Devotion

We wait in hope for the Lord ; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love be with us, Lord , even as we put our hope in you.

Psalms 33:20‭-‬22 NIV

We believe that God is good, He is faithful, He will never abandon us, but there's still a little voice in our heads doubts it sometimes and we still try to take control of our lives. We're humans, we're prone to fail. The reason why we fail is because we used to control ourselves rather than to let God control it for us. Just as how a lifeguard wanted to save a drowning person, it would take time to calm him first and to let the rescuer take the control of him, so are we. He is just waiting to give our full trust and control onto Him to protect us.
