The week went by quickly with make-up sessions with Anna, more riding with the boys, midnight Disney movies, and an unhealthy amount of baking which ended up with flour fights between the girls and the boys.
It was finally time for them to leave so my mum told one of the staff to get the cars ready for them. I didn't want them to leave but I didn't have a choice. I gave Jake a big hug along with his mother then I went over to Keeho's family.
"Well, I guess this is goodbye?" I told the gang
"No, not goodbye. More like a see you later." Keeho smiled
"I'm gonna miss you little one, you too ******," Anna told me and my brother giving us both tight warm hugs.
"See you soon little one, maybe next time we ride it won't be so snowy." Jack piped up also giving me a hug
"Hopefully if things don't get too stressful at the company. I might run away though." I joked
"Call me and I'll sneak you away." He replied
"Good luck with that," Jake said from behind me putting his arms around my shoulder with his head on mine
"It was nice meeting you guys hopefully we'll meet again," Keeho stated
"We're idols, we will surely meet again," I added and we laughed a bit before we all fell into silence
After a few minutes, their mothers called out to them to go and they gave their last words and hugs.
"I'll see you soon okay? You better keep me updated too! I've seen some of your group members and damn you could land one." Anna said whispering the last part
"You're unbelievable." I scoffed
"What? You never know." She shrugged and walked away
"See ya little one, stay safe okay?" Jack said hugging me too
"Of course."
"I'll see you back in Korea then Aria, we have quite the schedule for next year," Jake remarked making me groan
"I'm so tired and this is just the start." I hugged him
"Honestly." With that, he went towards his mother too. I looked around only to see Keeho already going towards their assigned car and I yelled out to him
"Yo Stephan!" I yelled And he whipped his head to look at me. I ran up to him and gave him a big hug.
"I haven't given you one since I was 8, have a lovely holiday and say hi to your group members for me, please. Keep your chin up you're doing so well out there, everybody loves you like always. I'll see you soon." I let go of him and he looked at me with shock and if I had worn my glasses I'd say he's getting teary-eyed but I don't know.
"People love you too you know." He replied and I just smiled
"You don't see or read what I see and read," I replied with the smile still on my face
"Aria-." I cut him off
"It's fine, now go get 'em, tiger." I pushed him towards the car and he walked away only once looking back at me as he entered the car from the corner of my eye I saw my mum rush back inside after she told the mums to see you soon.
"Bye guys!" I yelled to the two cars and they all waved, the chauffeurs driving them away.
"Okay Yoonie, let's get you in, It's freezing." My brother said pulling me into the house.
When we got in our mum looked like she was in a rush and she was very stressed. We shared a look and knew exactly what was going on from the minute we saw her walk inside after getting a phone call a few minutes ago but we didn't want to believe it. All the staff were everywhere trying to get stuff ready and just as we reached our mother the door flung open making everything stop and become silent.
The air turned cold like the person who just came in. Their footsteps echoed in the house and it became closer as the person walked up to us. The four of us in the middle of the foyer three had our heads down. The person did a hand gesture and all the staff left us alone.
"Welcome home, I didn't expect you back so early." My mother spoke as I clung onto my brother's hands carefully digging my nails into my palm. It was a reflex anytime I was around them.
"I got off work early and decided to spend some time here." He spoke monotonously making me scoff without meaning to, my mouth was too fast and I hoped he didn't hear it but luck was not on my side.
"What do we have here? You decided to come home?" He asked while I still had my head down
"Don't make this hard for the both of us, answer me when I speak."
"Yes sir. We were given a break for Christmas." I replied, my head still down
"What about you? What's your excuse?" He fired at my brother
"Same reason. Nothing new."
"Okay, we'll talk later I need to rest. Soonbok, follow me." He called out to our mum and she had no choice but to follow
"Be careful," I whispered
"He'd never hurt me." She whispered back smiling but I could see the small panic in her eyes. It made me wonder what went on when we were gone. Come to think of it, mum has been wearing long sleeves a lot these days.
When they were out of sight and the coast was clear, I looked to my brother and whispered to him
"Am I the only one who realised mum wears more long sleeves than usual?" I asked
"I've noticed it too but I always believed it was because it was cold."
"I don't know, she's been off too."
"That I can agree with you on. I once was going downstairs and stumbled across hushed voices. When I turned the corner everyone went silent. It was her and Mama Y before Jake came over. I think Jakes mother knows too." We spoke in Korean because most of the staff we had didn't know Korean so it would be safer.
"They're hiding something that's for sure."
"No shit Sherlock, let's just hope it's not as bad as we think." With that, we went to our separate rooms.
That man was a vile creature. He valued no one, not even his own family. He was brought from hell and unfortunately, that man was my Father. My brother's step-father.
