39 | En-Log Editing, New MC, and Japanese Convos

This was new. We have never done anything like this and I was really excited about it. We would be editing our own En-Log Videos and putting subtitles in them.

"I'm kind of nervous if I'm being honest engene, I hope I don't make mistakes."

We got our footage handed to us in a laptop before putting ourselves to work. I quickly put on my AirPods and started to work.

I had to re-listen to each clip and cringed at some point too. I were there for roughly an hour or two. I'm not really sure.

"Writing subtitles are hard," I whined "Why did I have to talk so much, why aren't I speaking loud enough? Is that how I talk?" I looked at the staff behind the camera and he nodded.

"I'm very sorry to the editors who have to strain their ears to hear what I'm saying in order to put the subtitles in the videos."

I went through the video over and over again, smiling at some parts especially the part where I was with TXT sunbaenim's.

"I loved singing this song, I can't believe it's an OST." I muttered and after a few more minutes, I was done.

"I'm done~, thank you for having me." I bowed before leaving the room.

Today was Sunghoon's first day as MC. He had left really early to go get ready with his new co-worker Jang Wonyoung-ssi. A lot of netizens have said we looked alike but I just brush it off. We mostly had separate schedules today. A lot of event's happened after the En-Log editing, we had a few interviews and practiced for the show too. We got very busy too and I had a lot of V Lives with some of the members. 

As the day dragged on and after I was done with therapy for my ankle, we got a call from Sunghoon. He had admitted he was a bit nervous and wanted to talk to us to calm his nerves, we talked for a bit and got to watch a sneak peek of the Butter performance they had done earlier. We gave him a lot of supportive words before the call finished and we went on to do our various stuff.

Today was a pretty boring day and when Sunghoon got back, he told us all about what happened that day and how fun, exciting, and nerve wracking the whole experience was. It was nice to see him talk about something he was very fond of doing without getting a little bit sad. I know being MC will never replace being a figure skater but it could make him happy for the time being.

Niki and I had decided to escape for the day. We had been working hard and considering that our schedules were pretty similar today it was easier for us to slip out. There wasn't a lot of places we could go to so we just settled for the cafe on the 19th floor.

We sat on a little place next to the window and looked out into the city below us. The sun was setting so the sky had a very pretty tint to it. I leaned on Niki while he told me about his life in Japan. We hardly did this but whenever we have the chance to we'd definitely do it more.

"And that's why I've loved dancing."

"It makes more sense, how was it like growing up next to a dance studio."

"It was fun, we always learnt one thing or the other, there was never a dull moment."

"I can't imagine there was."

"How was life in the UK though?"

"Pretty bland. Considering who my parents are, I didn't have the best friend group ever. They were quite questionable if I'm honest, what the hell was I thinking??" I contort my face 

"I can't imagine either but there has to be some good moments in your life."

"Oh there are. I remember the first time I got Atticus, I was around 5 at that time and at that moment I knew I wanted to ride horses for a while." 

"Thats a long time ago. A full 10 years, then when did being an idol come in?"

"It was inspired by my brother. We'd always have mini concerts and all that but when my brother said he was going to be a trainee it sparked some interest in me but the me before dint have that much confidence to come out one day and say 'hey, I wanna be an idol'. It wasn't me, so I just sticked to horses until I was scouted one day."

"That must have been an amazing day for you."

"It was, I think I was almost as happy as you were when you met SHINee Sunbae-nims." I teased shoving him slightly before he does the same.

"Do you think you'll get into acting one day? Just like your mum?" He asks

"I don't know yet, we'll have to see what the future holds." I stretch pulling my hair into a messy low bun before placing my head back on his shoulder watching as the sun slowly makes its way to bed.

"I like carefree you, it's nice seeing you not worry about one thing or the other. We should do this more."

"We really should and thank you, I like carefree you too." I smile 

"Oh please, I'm always carefree." He scoffs 

"Shut up." I roll my eyes

"I also like speaking Japanese with you, I'm gonna do it more often now. You sound like an anime character cause of how soft your voice is. Just an observation."

"Sure it is." I can feel him roll his eyes

"We should probably get back."

"We probably should." None of us moved though, not until Taesul found us and shoved us into the elevator then into the car. We turned out to be the only ones left and for the first time ever, I slept with Niki right besides me in the car.
