Part 3 || bipolar kid

Y/N's POV

Y/N: "mom said you were gonna wash the dishes tonight. I did them 2 nights in a row!"

Jake: "no! Remember the night before last night I did it because you dragged me by my ea-"

Yeji: "hey guys..." we both turned to her with a confused expression since she seemed quite down.

Y/N: "hey what's wrong?" I held her shoulder hoping to comfort her

Yeji: "nothing just my parents were a handful last night" I nodded. Must've been about taking on the business again. I feel so bad for them, their parents pressure them more than Jake and I's. Jake came and kissed her forehead. Sunghoon was walking up behind her but I've really given up. I don't even plan on greeting him anymore

Y/N: "let's go?" Yeji nodded and we walked side by side together. When we were just talking we heard footsteps running and behind us we saw Sunghoon catching up

Sunghoon: "hey Y/n wait up" I furrowed my eyebrows and so did Jake. He called... me? We looked at each other weirdly and when I focused my attention towards Yeji to see her reaction she had more of a worried expression than a confused one. I found it weird and pulled Yeji to continue walking. "Y/n wait let's go to class together" he walked up beside me and smiled brightly. What's wrong with him

Y/N: "uhh yeah whatever" I gave Yeji the look meaning that was weird. On the way to the classroom Sunghoon really did walk with me to class. Jake and I kept exchanging glances every so often with how weird his sudden change was. I fast walked inside the classroom avoiding him and sat down on my usual seat. Since we were in college, our desks were like in a movie theater where it's leveled. I sat 4 rows after the farthest row to the back and Jake and Sunghoon sat behind Yeji and I.

Y/N: "why'd your brother suddenly become so nice to me?" Yeji clenched her jaw a bit and avoided making eye contact with me but then shrugged her shoulders

Yeji: "he's a bipolar kid" she rolled her eyes and chuckled passing it as a joke. "But that's a good thing right? He's starting to warm up to you so both of you can be friends again" I gave her a small smile and faced forward. I leaned on the palm of my hand while the weight of my head was on my elbow.

Professor: "bring out your books we'll start a new chapter today" shit

Y/N: "Yeji I didn't bring my book!"

Yeji: "why not?" She looked worried and scared. Makes sense he's a scary professor! He's the type to kick out his students mid class

Y/N: "I was advance studying last night and I must've forgotten to br-" I stopped talking when I felt something hard tapping my shoulder. I turn around and see Sunghoon handing me his book. I shook my head no saying I'm not getting it

Sunghoon: "get it or sir will-"

Professor: "Park Sunghoon" he widened his eyes and dropped his book to me so I just caught it and placed it in front of me "you seem to have forgotten your book"

Sunghoon: "accept my apology sir, I must've left it at home" I faced Jake still confused. He just saved me? The professor sighed frustrated

Professor: "whatever since it's your first time I'll leave you with a warning. Share books with Jake" Sunghoon nodded and gave me a nod and a smile. Yeji was right when she said he was bipolar. I looked down on his book and I was shocked to see so many notes on the side and everything he highlighted were the important parts. I look back and see him concentrating and taking down notes while glances at Jake's book and the professor from time to time.

I knew he had good grades but I never thought he'd be the type to write down notes so much. His notes were even easy to understand. He'd draw arrows from the definition then put a small note on the side paraphrasing them to remember it a lot easier. I flipped through the pages and realized he already did them for the chapter we're discussing today. Damn this boys productive.

Y/N: "did you know about this?" I questioned Yeji showing her his book. She looked at me nodding and chuckled

Yeji: "he does that a lot, all his other books are full of that. He doesn't look it but he really does study hard" I widened my eyes. Damn now I feel insecure about the way I study... I took my own notes based off of Sunghoon's and I was shocked myself but I never understood a lesson so fast

The bell rang and everyone stood up. I packed my stuff and grabbed his book

Y/N: "here... thanks" I said the last part quietly returning it to him

Sunghoon: "no problem n/n" (n/n=nickname) I looked at him and he had a small smile at the corner of his lips. He just called me by the nickname he used to call me with. It was the shorter version of my name just like Sunghoon to Hoon. If I called him Hoon when we were younger he called me n/n. I furrowed my eyebrows at him and he walked ahead with Jake

Y/N: "what's going on with your brother" I asked her while walking out. She had a nervous smile painted on her face

Yeji: "idrk honestly..." I sighed. If he's starting to be friendly again and have our old friendship back... should I give him a chance? He was so mean to me all those years

Sunghoon: "does this little shit have to come with us?"

Sunghoon: "the fuck are you doing in my house?"

Sunghoon: "HAHAHAHA STOP- you look like trash"

Sunghoon: "ew you watch those stupid types of movies?"

Sunghoon: "you look like shit in that outfit"

That went on almost everyday I tried interacting with him.

Y/N: "Hey Yej" she hummed in response "if the reason why your brother is becoming nice towards me to get our old friendship back, should I give him a chance?"

Yeji: "it's up to you y/n, I know how badly he treated you. I was there. Just think about it, you know how he is" I nodded and sighed deeply. I feel something bad about this but what other reason could he be doing this. Yeah I'm probably just overthinking this there's nothing wrong with giving him a chance

<time skip>

We were all gonna meet up in front of the school after our classes finished. Jake and Yeji texted that they went ahead. I was packing my stuff when I saw Sunghoon waiting outside the door. Could he be... I looked inside my classroom and saw one of the better looking girls on her way out. Ahhh why did I even think he was waiting for me... She went outside and stopped in front of Sunghoon. I took a quick glance and saw both of them talking. I felt kinda stupid for thinking otherwise even if it was just for a few seconds. I shoved my notebook in my bag and zippered it up. I slung my backpack behind me and fast walked out of my classroom squeezing through them. A hand grabbed my wrist tightly making me stop and turn

Sunghoon: "finally you're done! Let's go. Bye uhh whoever you are" he pulled me with him leaving the girl dumbstruck. He let go of me once we started walking normally. We walked in silence and he kept his hand in his pocket and the other one was holding his phone. I took a glance at him questioning his actions. You know what I'm just gonna be straightforward with him. We exited the school already and I was gonna ask my question before we reach Jake and Yeji.

Y/N: "why do you keep on-" I didn't get to finish when I slipped forward. Sunghoon caught me by my waist and pulled me up to his chest.

Sunghoon: "watch where you're going n/n" his arm was still around my waist as he told me. His head was beside my ear and my back was touching his chest. I look down and see a puddle of water with moss or algae. That's why it was slippery and it must've rained a while ago. He was holding me quite tightly so my legs were slightly dangling

Jake: "woah guys what's going on?"
