Chapter 30: Push up

A movie and a season 3 was announced so yay!

Takagi was over at Nishikata's house today. They had a day off so they spent it together.

"So Nishikata-kun. School is about halfway over through the final year. We should get serious about our plans for the future" Takagi suggested as they were watching Nishikata's favorite anime together.

"I already decided to become a gym teacher. Something that doesn't require much knowledge and can make some pretty decent yen as well. Course I still have to go to college" He dreaded more school.

"Hmmm. I see." Takagi liked his plan.

"So your plan was to stay home and look after everything right?" Nishikata remembered her saying something like that before.

"Well. As long as I'm with you, anything is fine" She rested her head on his shoulder.

"Y-yeah I guess so" He scratched his cheek in embarrassment.

" Let's love together soon" Takagi suggested.

" Um. How soon would that be exactly?" Nishikata asked.

"Hm. How about as soon as school is over?" Takagi suggested.

"W-what!? I-isn't that too soon!?" He didn't expect her to move in right away.

"Is that a problem?" Takagi asked turning away from the anime to him.

"D-don't you think it's too soon? Aren't we supposed to be married before we live together!?" He wasn't really against it but he always thought that was how it is.

"Oh. I see. You're already thinking about marriage huh?" She gave a teasing smile making him redder in the face.

"N-no!  I just always thought that marriage comes first" Nishikata explained.

"I think it would be fine. But if you feel that way. Then how about we get married right away as well" Takagi leaned closer to his face.

"...I...um... h-hey! Our anime is still going! Let's finish watching this!". Nishikata tried to change the subject quickly before he got more embarrassed.

"Hm sure" She kept quiet and continued to watch along with him.

They watched two episodes together without another word. Until it was over at least.

"So Nishikata-kun. How much money do you have saved up?" Takagi asked as they just sat there now.

"Um I'm quite sure. At least 250,000 yen. ( 2,278.01 dollars) Why do you ask?" Nishikata asked.

" Just wondering. I don't have as much as you though. Luckily you're apartment doesn't cost so much" Takagi brought the conversation back up.

"I-i thought that we were done with that conversation" He didn't want to get teased again after having it done already.

"We stopped because of the anime but now we finished. So anyway we should think about some furniture" Takagi acted like it was already decided that they would live together immediately.

"L-like what?" Nishikata didn't know what else they could need. He already has a tv,a good bathroom, kitchen, and a bedroom.

"We need things like plants, more room my own stuff, and we should add some cute things to brighten the place up" Takagi gave some ideas.

' Takagi-san can really act like a girl sometimes' Nishikata thought as she continued to suggest some things.

"And there's one final thing we need that's more important above all else!" Takagi said.

"What's that?" Nishikata asked.

"We sh should get a journal, that way we can keep track of all the times you get teased while we live together" Takagi suggested.

"NO WAY!" He yelled as Takagi laughed.

"Just kidding. There's no way we could keep track of that much teasing" She joked again.

' Damn you Takagi San!' Nishikata thought.

"So should we watch some more now?" Takagi asked.

"It's getting late. I think we should end it for today" Nishikata suggested.

"Hm I don't really want to go yet...say. Do you still do your push ups?" Takagi got a idea to tease him a bit more.

"Y-yeah. Why?" He already knew this would lead to something.

" Let's play a game before I go. If you win, I won't tease you anywhere for two weeks straight!" Takagi put up a wager.

"Okay but what if I lose?" He asked hoping it wouldn't be too bad.

"I stay over for the night" Takagi said.

"D-doesn't that seem a bit much?" He asked.

"It wouldn't be the first time. So what do you say?" Takagi asked.

"Well what is the game?" Nishikata asked. He didn't want to be at a disadvantage.

"If you can do all your push ups in a row in only one try, you win the game. If not I win" Takagi explained the rules.

"Hehe. Are you sure you want to do that? I haven't struggled with push ups since junior high ya know" Nishikata felt pretty confident.

"Yes absolutely." Takagi said.

"Alright. It's a deal!" Nishikata accepted her terms.

"So how many do you have to do?" Takagi asked.

"Um...150 pushups" He did quick math in his head.

"Oh wow that's a lot. Are you sure you can do that all in a row?" Takagi asked.

"He. I've done way more before" Nishikata got down and in push up position.

"To make sure that the number is accurate, let's both count outloud together" Takagi suggested.

"Alright sure" Nishikata then began to do his push ups.

"1...2...3...4...5-

This continued and they eventually started to get closer to 150.

"135...136...137" They contained.

'Hehe Takagi-san. I'm almost there! Just a few more and i-....huh?" His thoughts were interrupted by Takagi.

She lied completely flat on his back, holding onto his stomach for support. He didn't stop and kept going.

"T-takagi-San... W-what are you doing?" He asked keeping track in his head.

" Just lying down. An I heavy Nishikata- kun?" Takagi asked with a bright smile on her face.

"N-no... you're pretty light actually... b-but why are you doing this?" Nishikata asked. He was going pretty slow with his push ups due to his embarrassment.

"Just trying to win is all" Takagi kept holding on as he did his 147 push up.

"W-well I'm about to win already! 148! 14- HAHAHAHAH!" He started to laugh as Takagi pokes him in the side, which made his arms lose balance and he fell down to the floor losing the game.

"Haha! You were really wide open too!" Takagi continued her victory laugh.

'D-damnit!' Nishikata thought to himself. Takagi slowly climbed off of him.

"All right Nishikata-kun. Now I get to sleep over here for the night per our agreement" Takagi reminded him of their bet they made.

"Y-yeah... I'll go get you a spare futon" Nishikata started to head to the closet.

"Oh no Nishikata-kun. I'm going to sleep on your bed" Takagi said stopping him in his tracks.

"W-what!?" He was red faced.

"It's not the first time. And besides you lost remember?" Takagi grabbed his hand and led him to the bedroom to sleep.
