Chapter 34: Proposal

I am really sorry for this wait, honestly the amount of people asking for an update surprised me. More people cared about this story than I thought.

At one point in his life, Nishikata never thought he would ever see the inside of where a girl lives, especially Takagi's house.

And now he's living with her. Life is strange. One minute he is getting teased by her at school. Now he is being teased at home by her.

It definitely was going to have to take some time getting used to, he's already forgotten to knock several times which ended up with him getting teased by her in some awkward situations. But for the most part he enjoyed living with his girlfriend.

But he wanted more. He wanted something with her that almost any man dreams of.

To marry his girlfriend. And this was the day. His ring was in his bag and he was ready. Now he just has to ask her. How hard could that be?

" So Dear, what do you want for dinner after you get home?" Takagi asked as she was looking around in the kitchen.

" Actually, I was thinking we could go out tonight." Nishikata suggested.

"Oh wow! You are actually asking me on a date dear!" Takagi acted surprised to Nishikata's embarrassment.

"W-well it's only natural for us to do that every once in awhile..." Nishikata tried to focus on his application now instead.

"Anywhere in mind?" Takagi asked taking a seat beside him on their couch.

" There's a fancy restaurant that's not too far away. I'll send you the address when I get to work and you can meet me there. Make sure you wear something special" Nishikata hoped that wouldn't give a lot of information away.

Takagi just smiled at him before looking at the time.

" Oh my! Dear it's time for you to get to work, you can finish your gym teacher job application later. " She said looking at her phone.

" Oh right! " He jumped off the couch and went over to the door.

"Dear wait!" Takagi got off the couch and approached him.

" What is -

Takagi kissed him on the cheek softly " Have a good day" She smiled softly at him.

"T-t-thanks... Y-you too" He was really stunned at this.

"Go on before you're late" She gently pushed him out the door and he went to work after recovering from that kiss that just happened.

' How am I supposed to propose to her if I can't even handle a single kiss!?' He thought to himself at work.

He thought hard all day about how to do this, and the day went by fast since he had plenty to think about.

Once he got off work he sent a message to his girlfriend telling her that he was on the way to the restaurant, to which she replied she was on the way as well. Thankfully the town they lived in wasn't huge so they didn't have to travel far.

Nishikata had changed into more fancy clothes at the school, Takagi had a nice light red dress on with her hair in a bun once again.

Is something wrong dear?" Takagi asked as she noticed Nishikata was saying silent.

"N-nothing... Just.. enjoying the view" He quickly made a fake excuse taking his eyes off her.

"Hm. I wonder if you actually mean me when you say view" She teased at him

"N-no!... I-i mean I'm not saying that your not pretty but - ugh"

Takagi chuckled as he choked on his own words as he got teased by his girlfriend.
