Some might say that going to a wedding for a first date is fine, Penelope sure thought it was.
As she paraded me around the room and introduced me to her family members that exchanged pleasantries with me, yet not much more than the usual, hello, what do you do, how did you meet, and all that sort of of stuff, I couldn't help but feel the eyes on us from even the bride and the groom.
To me, Penelope had been almost something out of book that I once read a long time ago but forgot the title of. Something familiar.
To the people around us they all sort of looked at her like a stranger, someone that they didn't know. Even her parent's didn't seem to have much to ask her other than asking what book she was reading, and if her current title was going well, Burning Blood if you were wondering. She silenced me with a glance as soon as they brought it up.
