she lived a lie
a fairytale
she wanted to believe it all
it kept her safe
safe from herself
safe from reality
she knew that if she knew the truth
it would break her
it would leave a void in her heart
but in the end
the truth was inevitable
the truth was painful
it felt like someone ripped her heart open and tried to put it back into place
but in the end she had to accept it
living a lie has always been easier than honesty
but it slowly ate away at her sanity
