5TH AVENUE, NY.
( you told us both
to trust, but now i know you
only saved yourself. )

"oou! this is a must!"

"oh my gosh rima,
you look so good in it"

the skimpy, see through crystal dress
clung onto karima's body as she did a 360° spin for her friends to see.

"you think? is it too much for a fundraiser? do you think dad'll say something?" she questioned, looking at the phone.

"karima, you look so good. like
actually babe." monet said through facetime.

karima blew kisses their
way, making her way back into
the dressing room.

julien & audrey accompanied her
as she searched for the perfect dress for the annual st. jude fundraiser.

the only opinion she valued
was luna's, but when asked, she'd
replied—

"i wouldn't be caught dead on 5th avenue."

she'd asked for monet
to come too, but she said that
she was 'busy'.

for the past few days, her sister'd been ridiculously nice to her, but karima blamed
on mood swings.

monet & mirlandé had been
extra close too, but karima took no
suspicion to that.

"ooh! i wonder what aki's wearing" audrey's voice was heard from outside the
dressing room.

speaking of the boy, karima & aki
hadn't talked since the day in the field, & she was perfectly fine with that.

obie questioned how she could pretend like everything's fine after breaking his best friend's heart ( aki had told him about their summer fling ), so he'd been a little rude to
her.

she knew why he was being
mean, but she hated him anyway so it checked out.

karima sent aki
a farewell gift so they'd be
back on good terms—

( i.e make sure he
wouldn't tell audrey )

—but she hadn't
heard back from him about
the gift arriving.

"okay, let me buy it then
we can leave you guys."

the 3 best friends made her way
to the register with her wallet, a hand on her shoulder.

she flinched harshly,
calming when seeing that it
was just audrey.

"let me buy it for
you, please? just for getting
that one ruined in the
rain?" the blonde girl pleaded
